Many fans of the prestige HBO drama had their heads spinning when Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) was seemingly killed by Alliser Thorne (Owen Teale) and other members of the Night’s Watch. There are still some Game of Thrones fans who are not quite convinced that the scene played out quite as it seems.

Alliser memorably got his comeuppance for dispatching a fan favourite character when he was hanged as a mutineer.

To add insult to injury it was the very person he had earlier attempted to kill for treason who ordered the execution.

Jon Snow was resurrected via a powerful magical spell by the Red Priestess Melisandre (Carice van Houten) after she appealed for some help from the Lord of Light.

The Lord Commander came back to fight another die and returned to wreak his vengeance on the treacherous Alliser.

Another Game of Thrones fan took issue with this theory and applied some sound logic to confirm that this theory is most likely untrue.

They said: “I’m not so sure about that. We’ve seen time and again multiple characters warg into, and be warged into on the show. The eyes roll back and turn white.”

Continuing on, they suggest that the sequence, which happens to feature a substantial pool of blood forming below Jon, is staged pretty decisively.

The fan said: “I did notice that when he is bleeding out that his pupils dilate. I only noticed this on a rewatch of the episode, which I had not noticed before.
