The epic HBO series concluded with a sprawling and violent battle for the Iron Throne. Sadly, Game of Thrones fans were frequently disappointed with the final few episodes, and have voiced their criticisms all over the internet.
HBO’s acclaimed adaptation of George R. R. Martin’s saga of novels was watched around the world.
Throughout the series, bitter rivalries and unlikely alliances between the Houses Lannister, Stark and Targaryen kept devoted fans on their toes with every new season.
According to some viewers, the series started to go downhill when showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss were forced to overtake Martin’s original novels.
Intended to be the next instalment in the series, The Winds of Winter has remained unpublished for several years due to the writer’s reputation for taking substantial time to get his ideas down on paper.

Debates frequently raged between fans about the characters’ respective arcs throughout the series.
Most viewers were disappointed by Daenerys’ (played by Emilia Clarke) sudden turn towards madness and rage in the finale, razing King’s Landing to the ground in a fit of rage.
Additionally, her icy relationship with fellow ruler Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) has ignited more arguments within the vast GOT fan community.
One eagle-eyed viewer was particularly confused by what started the pair’s intense dislike of each other, and took to Reddit to pose the question to their fellow Westeros enthusiasts.
Redditor Godless3 said: “Why did Sansa dislike Daenerys? It is never explained or otherwise implied through action or dialogue, and since she was the character that most directly led to Daenerys’ betrayal and spiral into madness, this question should have been answered by the writers.”
They continued to propose two possible answers to their inquiry, neither of which stand as particularly satisfying motives for two of the most complex characters in the series.
The fan said: “Sansa’s limited interactions with Jon which give us any insight into her thinking are the following lines: ‘Did you bend the knee to save The North or because you love her?’ and ‘She’s really pretty’.
“This seems to imply that Sansa might be secretly in love with Jon. From this angle, it might make sense that she wants to sow discontent between them; to take Jon away from her and being under her control.”

In an embarrassing display of fan service, Jon briefly started a relationship with Dany, before they eventually realised they were related all this time.
As this post implies, it would be infuriating for fans if two of the most complex female characters in recent memory based their hatred of each other thanks to a squabble over a simple boy.
Thankfully, other fans were able to step in to suggest some alternative explanations, namely the deeply rooted grudge between the Starks and the Targaryens.
One of the top comments was able to remind confused viewers: “Coz Dany’s father burned Neds father and brother if I recall, and it was common knowledge in Westeros that Rheagal raped Lyanna.
