Game Of Thrones fans in India are ready for the season 8 premiere (Picture: HBO)

Game Of Thrones fans in India have really shown the rest of us how to prepare for the season eight premiere.

Hundreds filled the streets as part of Marathi Hindus’ new year celebrations Gudhi Padwa last Saturday as they watched a spectacular performance of the HBO series’ theme song.

The spine-tingling music for the fantasy show, composed by the Emmy award-winning Ramin Djawadi, rang throughout the city as revelers bashed the beat out on drums and dancers jumped up and down with red flags.

Yep, we should all be taking note.

A Reddit user shared the incredible footage, with one person exclaiming: ‘Fun. This is how it’s done, son,’ while another added: ‘Didn’t know it was that popular in India! very cool.’

The Game Of Thrones finale kicks off later this week and showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss insist that it won’t ruin George RR Martin’s books.

Benioff explained to Entertainment Weekly: ‘The concern used to be that the books would spoil the show for people — and luckily it did not, for the most part.

‘Now that the show is ahead of the books, it seems the show could ruin the books for people.

‘So one thing we’ve talked to George about is that we’re not going to tell people what the differences are, so when those books come out people can experience them fresh.’

The duo have curated a 50-track playlist with Spotify’s Head of Rock Allison Hagendorf called The End Is Coming, where they appear to and have revealed the show’s ending.

‘The answer to the ending is one hundred percent hidden in the playlist choices. No one will believe us, but it’s true,’ they said.

Game Of Thrones season 8 premieres on HBO on April 14 and will air on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV on April 15.
