Game of Thrones tops 2018 on-demand list despite not even airing this year (Picture: HBO)

Game of Thrones hasn’t dropped a new episode since August 2017 and won’t be back until next year, but the award-winning series was still ranked number one on the video on-demand list.

The HBO fantasy show managed to beat the likes of This Is Us and Power to the top spot, both of which dropped new seasons in the past few months, in the line-up compiled by Comcast from its mammoth 22 million subscribers.

Clearly fans are keen to rejig their memories ahead of the grand finale set to air next April. No you’re crying!

A spokesperson for Comcast Cable noted: ‘The fact that that show is still ranked number one across the board when it wasn’t even current is pretty incredible.

‘It shows just how large of a following that show has (and) how new people are still discovering it.’

Also on the list in second and third place is This is Us and Power, with 9-1-1 and The Good Doctor ranking fourth and fifth.

Reality shows such as Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Americas Got Talent and Jersey Shore Family Vacation also made the cut, alongside long-running series Grey’s Anatomy and The Sopranos.

With that in mind, will it top this list again next year? Probably.
