Game Of Thrones has become the most pirated TV show for a sixth year running, beating rivals The Walking Dead and Rick And Morty.

Considering HBO’s fantasy epic is the biggest TV show on the planet right now, it’s perhaps unsurprising this success translates to the online pirate underbelly too.

According to TorrentFreak, the highest number of people sharing an episode across numerous torrents on BitTorrent was 400,000 at its peak, directly after the season seven finale.

These figures obviously don’t include the entire piracy spectrum, with other streaming and downloads from filelocker services not having any public sources to draw data from.

Game Of Thrones latest season was marred by numerous leaks, so it perhaps isn’t surprising the show came out top with so much pirate furore.

Other shows in the list include The Big Bang Theory, Prison Break and Sherlock.
