Game of Thrones fans can’t stop speculating as to who the face is behind the Night King.
And while rumours have started to circulate that Bran Stark is the leader of the dead army, Isaac Hempstead Wright who plays the character is still puzzled over where the theory began.
When chatting to Metro.co.uk, the 19-year-old laughed off the claims, even though he still refused to deny whether or not the villain was him.
When we asked if it was a character we already knew, the star joked: ‘Can you transcribe the eyeroll?’ Yes, yes we can.
With a smirk on his face, the actor added: ‘The Night King? I don’t know! Everyone is trying to get me to give out a spoiler.’
Of course we are.
‘I don’t know where this quest to work out who the Night King is came from, because everyone seems to be quite fascinated by it.’
He grinned: ‘But I don’t know, you’ll have to wait and see,’ before promoting the show: ‘Only on HBO April 14th!’
The star has previously addressed the rumours when he slammed the trailer for the upcoming season for being Bran-less.
Groaning to RadioTimes.com, he said: ‘Whenever I post anything on Instagram I just have a barrage of comments going “Night King! Hello Night King! You are Night King! Hello the Night King!”‘
He continued: ‘I mean, I suppose Bran is quite an interesting character to theorise over because of his whole link to time travel and whatnot.
‘Because you can kind of get away with anything theory-wise and make it sound convincing if you’ve got time travel involved.
‘I mean it’s quite an interesting theory, the Night King one. I just think it seems a bit obvious. A bit cheesy.’
As for that teaser, he chuckled: ‘Yeah, I don’t know what the fuck that’s about. I actually don’t know why I’m not in that.
‘We were looking at it and I was like, “Why am I not in this? All the other Starks are in it.” So I dunno – ask my agent. Get a look in there.’
Earlier this week a fresh trailer for the HBO hit arrived and it does not look good for our beloved characters.
While Tyrion’s pin lays in the snow, Arya’s needle sword can be seen poking out of some debris in an abandoned house.
Who knows what will happen to our heroes? However, in the words of Isaac, we guess we’ll have to wait and see… only on HBO April 14th.
