Game of Thrones star Jack Gleeson is making his TV comeback, six years after playing the bratty King Joffrey.
Gleeson has joined the ensemble cast for Sara Pascoe’s six-part BBC Two comedy Out of Her Mind.
Pascoe herself also features in the cast, along with Riviera‘s Juliet Stevenson, Peep Show‘s Cariad Lloyd and rapper Scroobius Pip.

Here’s how the BBC describes the show: “Out of Her Mind explores heartbreak, family and how to survive them. The series subverts the traditional sitcom format by combining eccentric characters, animation and scientific explanation.”
Pascoe added: “Out of Her Mind is a direct expression of my mind. We’ve turned my brain into a theme-park, and everyone’s invited! The cast are INCREDIBLE and I can’t wait for people to see what we’ve made.”
After leaving Game of Thrones, Gleeson suggested he would quit acting to pursue a more academic career path, but he later said he had “gone off that idea”.
Some of his other credits include Rob Bowman’s 2002 film Reign of Fire, Batman Begins (yes, he was Commissioner Gordon’s son) and Shrooms.
The cast for Out of Her Mind, which will consist of six half-hour episodes, also includes Fiona Button (The Split), Adrian Edmondson (Summer of Rockets), Navin Chowdhry (Doctor Foster), Sean Gilder (Poldark), Tom Stuart (Psychobitches), Jumayn Hunter (Attack the Block) and Sheila Reid (Benidorm).
The series will be distributed by Sony Pictures Television, with an airdate for BBC Two soon to be confirmed.
Game of Thrones seasons 1-8 are now available on DVD and Blu-ray.
