Jason momoa confirms he will not be returning to Game Of Thrones (Picture: HBO)

Jason Momoa has finally addressed those Game Of Thrones return rumours – and it’s not good news.

Since the star left the show nine years ago, fans have been desperate for him to head back as some kind of flashback with Daenerys.

And while we were all hoping for a grand return in the final season, it seems the star will be absent as he told fans to let the character go.

Talking to Digital Spy, the 39-year-old revealed that he would not be returning to Game Of Thrones – not even for a five second flashback.

We’re not crying, you’re crying.

He told the publication: ‘Yeah… he’s not coming back. Nine years now, let him go.’

Jason then went on to chat about why he believes the character was one of the first to get killed off in the series.

He said: ‘It’d be a very short series [with Drogo alive]. Two seasons, he crosses the water and kills everyone. It’s no good if he comes back.’

We beg to differ.

But while the star will not be resurrecting our beloved Drogo, we need not worry, as Momoa’s new film Aquaman will soon be arriving on the big screen.

And it sounds amazing.

Following the film’s premiere, movie critics were quick to take to the internet to give us all a glimpse of what to expect.

Editor of Slashfilm Peter Sciretta was one of the first to weigh in as he wrote: ‘Aquaman is better than expected.

‘Feels like a Marvel phase one movie, in a good way. It’s at its best when it’s having fun and not taking itself too seriously. Black Manta is [a] great villain that comic book fans will love. Some truly spectacular one shots and good action.’

Meg Downey echoed his sentiments and admired Wan’s decision to be ‘completely unafraid.’

She wrote: ‘#Aquaman is a buckwild movie which is honestly both good and bad in (almost) equal measure.

‘If nothing else, it looks great and it’s completely unafraid to just go for it, which I appreciate in it.’

While Tom Jorgensen went one step further, and called Aquaman ‘the best DC since The Dark Knight.’
