We have good news everyone! Khal Drogo is back! As a…talk show host?

Well, we’ll take what we can get, and we jumped into the air as Saturday Night Live convinced Jason Momoa to bring back the iconic Game of Thrones character one last time.

Now with his own talk show on the Dothraki Public Access channel, the man of few words talks to those who have also met a grisly end in the afterlife.

In the sketch, Khal Drogo’s Ghost Dojo sees Pete Davidson play The High Sparrow, who gets one of the former leaders molten gold crowns after he accidentally gets on the wrong side of him.

Kate McKinnon later saunters through the set as Joffrey, who despite being killed off at his own wedding, is still as much of a pompous prat as ever.

Who said death could change a person?

However, it all goes a little bit wrong and very Jerry Springer when Olenna Tyrell, the person responsible for his death, makes a surprise appearance for a showdown.

The team then appear to throw major shade at Kevin Hart over his homophobic tweets that got him removed from the Oscars – by giving Khal a ‘teachable moment’ with the help of Brienne of Tarth.

At first thinking she was a man, she shuts him down as someone who ‘has a lot to learn about identity politics’.

‘You’re right, Khal need to learn from Khal’s mistake, or Khal never win Oscar – or get to host Oscar,’ he added.

And let’s not forget Hodor who, you know, was holding the door.

We’re not going to lie, we would totally be addicted to this show if it was real (and let’s be honest, there’s a lot of dead people in the Seven Kingdoms who could stop by.)

The surprise emergence of the Game of Thrones favourite comes just a week after Jason told fans that he would not be appearing in Westeros for the final season.

Urging fans to give up hope, he told DigitalSpy: ‘Yeah… he’s not coming back. Nine years now, let him go.’

Jason then went on to chat about why he believes the character was one of the first to get killed off in the series.

He said: ‘It’d be a very short series [with Drogo alive]. Two seasons, he crosses the water and kills everyone. It’s no good if he comes back.’

Saturday Night Live airs weekly on NBC in the US.
