Game Of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have been getting in the Christmas spirit, stepping out for a rare public appearance together.
‘Tis the season.
The pair, who tied the knot last year, smiled away as they arrived at the MS Society’s Christmas Carols by Candlelight event.
Wrapping up for the freezing weather, they gave readings together at the charity event at St. Botolph-without-Bishopsgate church.
Rose went for a colourful look with her coat, while Kit kept it simple.
It’s the first time they’ve been photographed together in six months, following the Jon Snow actor’s stint in rehab.
The 32-year-old was hit hard by the end of the career-defining HBO series, later being treated for stress, according to PageSix.
A representative for Kit confirmed in a statement to Metro.co.uk at the time: ‘Kit has decided to utilise this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.’
However, he was reported to be doing better after his treatment, with the sweet couple enjoying the summer together – especially their first wedding anniversary, which they celebrated in London.
An insider told People: ‘Since Kit left the Connecticut wellness center, he is back in London with Rose.
‘The two are enjoying the summer, spending time with family and friends. Kit seems well. And Rose seems happy that he is back in London.’
The source added: ‘While he was in Connecticut, she was laying low. It seemed their focus was just getting Kit feeling better. And he does look better. Kit and Rose seem happy.’
The couple met on the set of the fantasy series, and played on-screen lovers, Jon and Ygritte, until Rose’s character died in season four.
And things definitely seem to be looking up for Kit, after he was the only GoT star to land a Golden Globe nomination.
Kit told The Hollywood Reporter he ‘didn’t expect to be nominated’ for the award in 2020. ‘I thought the show might be, but I was just at home, learning lines, and then my publicists called,’ he explained.
‘It was very unexpected and wonderful.’
He added that he was ‘sad’ no one else from the show got a nod, saying: ‘Obviously I wanted everyone to be nominated, and I feel like they should, as anyone who loves their show and loves their cast and crew would feel and want.
‘I’m happy for my nomination… so I’ll represent the show on my own. I’ll do my best.’
What a gent.
