The wedding date for Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington (Jon Snow) and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) has finally been announced, and it’s just around the corner. Per the BBC, the two will get married on June 23, in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Previously, the couple sent out invitations to select friends and family with a Jon Snow stamp from the Royal Mail.

Harington and Leslie invited 200 guests to witness the happy occasion at a Scottish castle owned by Leslie’s father. When the invites where sent, a source close to the pair told the Daily Mail they “organised the wedding quickly because they didn’t want information to leak.” The couple thought keeping the date top secret would be best, so fans wouldn’t flood the area trying to crash their wedding. Well, cat’s out of the bag now, I suppose.

Not to spoil the blessed event, but the guy responsible for killing Ygritte during season 4, episode 9, “The Watchers on the Wall,” Brenock O’Connor (Olly), spoke to Express during the premiere of his new film The Bromley Boys and said he could see the Night King sitting on the Iron Throne when the credits roll on season 8. “I really want to say the King. It’s been leading up to there — there’s been so many premonitions.” Well, Olly, I’m sure that opinion will make you even more popular than before.

Finally, John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) spoke to the Press Association about saying goodbye to Game of Thrones. “It is really hard to leave something behind that you’ve spent eight years of your life doing,” he said.

It is like me going from 11 to 19 – it has been an amazing time to spend on one thing. Of course I am going to miss it, it is not going to sink in for a while, but it is going to be sad.

Truer words were never spoken. Game of Thrones season 8 won’t debut until 2019, like you needed that painful reminder in your life. Oh well, at least we have a wedding to look forward to!
