Game Of Thrones stars have been pictured serving looks on the red carpet of the season 8 premiere.
The cast, including Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), and Kit Harington (Jon Snow) took to the red carpet in Belfast as the highly-anticipated final season of the show approaches.
Sophie and Maisie were inseparable as they held hands during their moment on the red carpet, with stars like Isaac Hempstead (Bran Stark), Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), and John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) looking dapper as they joined.
They definitely deserve to celebrate, after it was revealed that the stars had to endure a particularly grueling scene, which took 55 nights to shoot.
Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, Kit admitted the cast were ‘on the edge of killing each other’ by the end of the ridiculously long shoot and says the upcoming series is going to be bigger than any others.
‘They have really upped the budget and gone to town. It is really exciting,’ he teased.
‘There are some incredible sequences, but I’ve woken up in the middle of the night recently thinking, “What if, after eight seasons, we’ve have mucked it up?”‘
We sure hope not, Kit.
However, the work seems to have paid off, with David Nutter, who directed the legendary The Rains Of Castamere episode, teasing that we’ll see some scenes as shocking as the Red Wedding.
We’re not prepared.
When asked by Metro.co.uk if fans should expect something similarly shocking in season eight, he replied: ‘The short answer is – yes!’
He also spoke about the intense battle scenes coming up and admitted they have been ‘incredibly exhausting’ for him as a director in the past.
David said: ‘I can’t say that it’s more draining or less draining to be the director of the episode, but I will say that we’re all in the same boat, actors and director, when it comes to really bringing our “A game” to the fore.’
Check out some more fierce looks from the premiere below:
Game of Thrones season 8 premieres on HBO on April 14 and will air on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV on April 15.
