Warning: Contains spoilers for Game Of Thrones.
Kit Harington has stated how the fourth episode of Game Of Thrones season eight is one of his personal favourites, describing it as ‘twisted and uncomfortable’.
The show killed off a number of characters in The Long Night, as the united forces at Winterfell battled, and managed to wipe out, the approaching White Walker forces.
The fourth episode looks to address the aftermath of the fight, and Kit Harington, aka Jon Snow, has explained why the ambiguity of what’s to come makes it so interesting.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Kit said: ‘One of my favourite episodes is four because the characters have seemingly got what they needed.
‘The world is safe now. They’re celebrating and saying goodbye to lost friends. But as an audience you’re going, “This is only episode four, something’s going to happen.”
‘And that’s the cool thing because I think the characters are aware of this as well. There’s something twisted and uncomfortable about it. It’s so Shakespearian.’
The fourth episode will be the last directed by David Nutter, who helmed the first two episodes of season eight along with the notorious Red Wedding.
Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, similarly recently encouraged fans to seek out the biggest TV they can find for episode five – so is the best yet to come?
If episode five is expected to be a huge battle with Cersei Lannister’s The Golden Company army, it leaves a big question mark over whether the final episode will be a quieter affair.
Game Of Thrones continues Sunday on HBO and Sky Atlantic. You can catch-up on the episodes so far on NOW TV.
