Game of Thrones breakout star Kit Harrington, who became popular as Jon Snow has nothing but praise for the GoT prequel series House of the Dragon. For the unversed, HOTD traces the Targaryen dynasty and their infamous civil war called Dance of the Dragons some 200 years before the birth of Danaerys Targaryen and the events of GoT.
The 35-year-old actor who was also there in Marvel’s Eternals starred as Jon Snow from 2011 to 2019 in the much-acclained HBO drama based on the books by George RR Martin. In the series, Jon played an orphan bastard rasied for the Starks, who turns out to be the long lost heir of the Targaryens.
In a recent interaction with the Hollywood Reporter, Kit said he is really enjoying the show, more so, because his friend Miguel Sapochnik is showrunning it.

“It’s a weird one to start a whole new show in the same kind of realm and to make it its own thing,” added Harington, “and I think that they’ve really done that.” Meanwhile, while Sapochnik has exited as showrunner for Season 2, he will remain as executive producer for House of the Dragon.
Meanwhule, it is being reported that a sequel set after the events of Game of Thrones was in early development at HBO, with Harington attached to reprise his role as Jon Snow.

As for Sapochnik, in a statement last month, he opened up about his exit, stating, “Working within the ‘Thrones’ universe for the past few years has been an honor and a privilege, especially spending the last two with the amazing cast and crew of House of the Dragon.” He added, “I am so proud of what we accomplished with Season 1 and overjoyed by the enthusiastic reaction of our viewers”
