Game of Thrones may be finished but its stars are appearing on our screens and now Lena Headey and Iain Glen will be starring in a movie together called The Flood.

While Cersei Lannister and Ser Jorah Mormont may have not spent much time together the pair star opposite each other as immigration officers in the independent film which comes out later this month.

Taking to Instagram, Headey wrote to her 3.4 million followers: ‘Brilliant Iain Glenn and I were in a little film about the global crisis, displaced people running from violence, being processed without grace. @thefloodmovie is coming out.

‘Landing where it belongs, in front of eyes and hearts. @artificialeyefilm @curzoncinemas.’

Headey stars as Wendy a hardened immigration officer is offered a high-profile asylum case, judged on her ability to quickly and clinically reject applicants.

The synopsis reads: ‘Through her interrogation, she must uncover whether Haile (Ivanno Jeremiah) is lying and has a more sinister reason for seeking asylum.

‘We follow Haile on his perilous 5000 KM journey over oceans, across borders, and amidst the flurry of the Calais Jungle to find solace and safety in the UK.

‘But now he must cross the final hurdle.

‘Based on multiple true stories, The Flood is a thoughtful and timely reflection on the humanity within the refugee crisis.’

The Flood is released in cinemas on June 21.
