Lena Headey has officially fired the starting pistol on Game Of Thrones season eight filming, with a particularly hairy snap.

Alison Hammond is the most hilarious presenter on TV and these clips prove it

The 44-year-old actress, who plays tyrannical queen Cersei in the show, has posted a behind-the-scenes picture with hair and make-up designers Kev Alexander and Candice Banks confirming filming has started on the final season.

Taking to Instagram, Lena wrote: ‘Season 8… Hair and Teeth… HAIR AND TEETH !!!’

Is this Cersei’s new look? Has she uncovered secret Targaryen blood? Is this her White Walker transformation hybrid? QUESTIONS.

It isn’t the only hairy tease for season eight, with Emilia Clarke previously posting snaps which tease a potential new hairdo for Daenerys.

Considering the amount of fan theories which emerged around hair in the last season, including Sansa’s longer locks and Daenerys’ braids, it seems the hair and make-up team have their work cut out (ahem) to cook up a speculation storm.

Game Of Thrones season eight will be the show’s final bow, containing six episodes and seeing the return of fan favourite directors.

It’s currently unclear when the final season will debut, with HBO leaving us hanging whether the show will return in 2018 or 2019.
