Game Of Thrones’ Lena Headey is getting back into villain mode with her role in the Oliver Twist remake as we’re given our first look.
She’s well prepared, after all.
In a cast snap for the upcoming movie, Lena can be seen smouldering away as she stands behind a smiling Michael Caine.
The Cersei Lannister actress has joined a stellar cast, including Rita Ora (Dodge), Sir Michael Caine (Fagin) and Raff Law (Oliver), as she takes on the role of Sikes.
While their characters haven’t been confirmed, David Walliams, Franz Drameh, and Sophie Simnett will also be joining the star-studded cast.
Originally written as Bill Sikes, Lena’s character is a malicious criminal in Fagin’s gang, who’s often shadowed by his terrifying hound Bull’s-eye.
Basically, he’s someone that Cersei would get on well with.
The remake, titled Twist, is set to be a take on the Dickens classic set in modern-day London which sees Oliver, a young artist, unwittingly get himself involved in a high-stakes art heist after getting caught up with Fagin’s gang.
Hate it when that happens.
And we’ve already been given glimpses into the upcoming movie, with Sir Michael being supported by a walking stick after an ankle injury in 2018 and Rita knocking about with a rather dodgy looking bob wig.
The less said about that the better, really.
Michael previously said of the Sky Cinema hit: ‘Fagin is such an infamous character, it’s going to be great fun playing him.
‘I’m really looking forward to working with Lena, Raff and the rest of the cast in London when we start shooting.’
While things are being kept under wraps, a source close to the project told MailOnline: ‘Shooting for the new film starts today and everyone is very excited to get started.
‘Twist is a modern interpretation of Charles Dickens’ Oliver in which the title character has been reinvented as a streetwise artist living on the streets of modern-day London.
‘Rafferty impressed with his screen presence and his edginess brings a whole new dimension to the role of Oliver.
‘It’s an all-star cast with David in the mix after arriving at today’s first rehearsal – not to mention Rita and Sir Michael Caine.’
Twist doesn’t yet have a release date.
