Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey has revealed that she was completely torn apart by a reporter during a particularly traumatic interview, and told that she was a ‘disappointment’.
The 44-year-old’s appearance from an old episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls has resurfaced and sees the actress recall the most uncomfortable interview imaginable, which, understandably, left her ‘crushed’.
‘How are you with the press?’ Bear asked Lena.
‘I’m horrible,’ she sighed. ‘Yeah, you have to do these things for all the awards and everything where loads of people interview you.
‘I went in and was seven months pregnant and [there was] a whole room of journalists, and this guy stood up and he said, “Uh, I just want to say that you’re really disappointing in real life.”’
Thought that was bad? Wait for it.
Lena went on: ‘He went, “Is that your real hair?” And I went “Yeah”, and he said, “The wig is much better. I like you as a blonde.” I was like, “OK”. I was just crushed. How is that alright to say?’
Regardless, Lena is now an actual queen both in Westeros to millions of Game of Thrones fans IRL, to be honest.
Game of Thrones has officially wrapped up filming and the fate of Lena’s barbaric character Cersei is signed, sealed, delivered and there is nothing that can be done about it.
Obviously the secrets of season eight are currently being kept in a high security chamber – down in the darkest depths of HBO, but the network’s boss Casey Bloys recently shed a little light on what’s in store for Game of Thrones’ final chapter.
Bloys debunked reports the final six episodes will be two hours long, which we were all for really, but promised Game of Thrones would be returning in the first half of 2019. But, when you’re just breaking into August, that’s really no comfort at all.
