Now that casting agency ModExpor has wrapped up its search for Game of Thrones extras in the Cáceres region of Spain, it’s turning its attention elsewhere. A new casting notice has gone up on its Facebook page. This time, it’s looking for extras to film scenes in the province of Seville and the town of Almodóvar del Río, home to the Castillo de Almodóvar del Río, pictured above.
This notice is very similar to the one for the Cáceres province, with the major exception that HBO isn’t looking for any women this time around. Here are the highlights:
- The casting session will take place on September 16, starting at 9:00 am at the municipal sports center in Almodóvar del Río.
- The production is only looking for men between the ages of 18 and 50. It’s open on race, prefers locals. Candidates should be:
- Thin.
- In good shape.
- Not have modern hairstyles or visible tattoos. Also, they should be willing to grow or cut their facial hair as needed.
- Military experience is welcome.
- Of however many show up, ModExpor will choose 1,500 to advance to the next round. (10,000 people showed up for the Cáceres casting, FYI.) There’s no word on how many of that group will actually become extras.
Extras must be available between November 1st and November 12. Is that late enough in the year for the Castillo de Almodóvar del Río to become covered in snow? I don’t know, but it sure looks pretty like that.
As for where the production will film in Seville, word is that it’ll stop by the ruins of Italica in the town of Santiponce. Behold:

There may also be filming in the city of Seville itself. All signs point to the show casting more soldiers, both Unsullied (men willing to shave their beards) and otherwise.
Finally, the notice says that we’ll find out more about casting dates for shooting in Zumaia and Bermeo, two other Spanish locations, on October 5. Stay sharp.
