Maisie Williams has got a cryptic Arya Stark tattoo and Game of Thrones fans are gong to go nuts

Maisie Williams has revealed that she’s been inked with the perfect nod to Game of Thrones just weeks after saying a final farewell to her young warrior, Arya Stark.

The Bristol-born actress teased her 7.8 million Instagram followers on Sunday to repost a story by acclaimed tattoo artist to the stars, Mr. K, with the caption: ‘Guess who is getting [a] ‘no one’ tattoo?’

As promised, the tat simply reads ‘No One’ written in a type-writer style of font – but what does it all mean?

Well, back in season six, Arya encountered the Faceless Man, Jaquen H’ghar who taught her that ‘a girl is no one’.

Inevitably Game of Thrones fans will speculate that Maisie has given a clue surrounding the fate of Arya Stark until the fantasy epic returns in an agonising eight months, but for now she’s keeping quiet.

Though, after the backlash Sophie Turner received over her Game of Thrones inspired ink, it’s a wonder Maisie revealed anything at all.

Last month, Sophie, who stars as Sansa Stark in the record-breaking HBO series, debuted her nod to the Stark family with a tattoo of a direwolf sigil, above the caption: ‘The pack survives.’

And fans went ballistic, accusing the 22-year-old of accidentally confirming that Sansa survives the course of season eight, and will, in turn, be named as one of the few characters standing until the very end.

But they blew up too soon as Sophie appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden to explain all.

‘It’s just a quote from last season,’ she told James. ‘Everyone figures that the pack really does survive, but it’s just a moral that I like to live by.’

Sophie later admitted to Digital Spy that sharing her tat probably wasn’t the best idea.

Game of Thrones officially wrapped up filming earlier this month, with Maisie celebrating her final day on Instagram with a picture of bloodied trainers.

Game of Thrones is expected to return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in April 2019.
