Game of Thrones wrapped up filming about two years ago. The fans and the crew miss the show alike. However, HBO seems to be quite interested in exploring George R.R. Martin’s fantastical world even more. The television network has already got fans to their toes by announcing the first prequel series House of The Dragon. It was later confirmed in their epic programming line-up for 2021-22. Now, there are rumours of three more Game of Thrones-related shows in talks at the network’s headquarters.
According to some sources at Variety, HBO is developing a trio of new Game of Thrones prequel series. One spinoff, titled ‘9 Voyages’ or ‘Sea Snake’, hails from ‘Rome‘ co-creator Bruno Heller. While the other two, ‘Flea Bottom‘ and ‘10,000 Ships‘ have no writers yet attached.
9 Voyages would centre on Lord Corlys Velaryon — known as the Sea Snake and head of House Velaryon, husband to Rhaenys Targaryen — on the Sea Snake vessel. The most well-known nautical adventurer in all of Westeros, Lord Corlys — built a house even wealthier than the Lannisters and claims the largest navy in the world.
Flea Bottom would take place in the poorest district of King’s Landing. 10,000 Ships revolves around Princess Nymeria, who journeyed with the Rhoynar to Dorne and married Lord Mors Martell. An HBO spokesperson declined to comment.
