“I wanted her to kill Cersei (Lena Headey), even if it meant [Arya] dies,” the 23-year-old revealed in the upcoming book Fire Cannot Kill a Dragon: Game of Thrones and the Official Untold Story of the Epic Series.Â
“Even up to the point where she’s with Jaime, I thought he’s going to whip off his face [and be revealed as Arya], and they were both going to die,” shared Maisie.Â
“I thought that’s what Arya’s drive had been,” she added.
To the disappointment of many fans, Cersei was given quite the kind passing for Game of Thrones, as she perished in the arms of her lover Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) as the Red Keep crumbled on top of them.Â
Game of Thrones is available to stream on Now TV.
