Game Of Thrones actor Vladimír Furdík gave a sneak peek at Kit Harington limbering up for battle (Picture: HBO)

Game Of Thrones star Vladimír Furdík has shared a behind-the-scenes look at co-star Kit Harington preparing for battle.

Before Furdik struck fear into our hearts as the Night King, he also played a long haired White Walker.

As this White Walker, he clashed with Jon Snow (played by Kit) in the season five episode Hardhome.

Furdík treated his followers on social media to a sneak peek at Kit limbering up for their fight.

The GIF, shared on Twitter, featured the actor, with fake blood running down his face, flexing his arms in a quick warm up between takes.

Vladimir was stood behind him in full costume, complete with long black fingernails and a vicious looking weapon, and also got some stretches in.

The Slovak actor added the caption: ‘With Kit warming up before our sword fight at Hardhome.’

Sadly we never got to see Jon take on the Night King in a one on one match in the final season, as he swiftly offed by Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).

But their season five scrap is still definitely memorable.

Vladimir has spoken in the past about how he went from a Night Walker to arguably the biggest threat to Westeros, saying showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were ‘impressed’ with his work.

The 48-year-old told Entertainment Weekly: ‘When we did season 5, I was the White Walker who fought Jon Snow — the first time Jon Snow killed a White Walker, that was me.

‘After that, [showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss] asked if I’d play the Night King for seasons 6 through 8. I never asked why. Maybe they were happy with what I did in season 5.’

He also revealed that unlike Kit and some of the other Game Of Thrones stars, he only ‘sometimes’ gets stopped in the street by fans.

‘Many people ask me: ‘Can you please kill Jon Snow?’ It’s very interesting. Sometimes I watch YouTube reactions after the season airs. Fifty percent of people love the Night King and 50 percent of people hate him.’

Game Of Thrones is available to watch on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.
