The effects of the Red Wedding year 2020 are still lingering in the air. While the rest of the world is struggling to get back on their feet, the UK is under complete lockdown. The COVID-19 crisis has hit the country hard, resulting in an exponential rise in the number of cases. Game of Thrones actress Nathalie Emmanuel seems to be really scared witnessing the situation. Her hometown, Essex, has suffered majorly due to the pandemic. She recently reflected about the current situation in the UK in a tweet.

The 31-year-old from Southend-on-Sea in Essex was overwhelmed by COVID, where most of the people she loves live. She was careful and warned everyone on Twitter to observe social distancing on New Year’s Eve.

She said, “My home county #Essex is being overwhelmed by COVID… most of the people I love are there…. And that’s scary. At this point, we all know the precautions that can be taken especially when health services are at breaking point. Stay safe everyone.”

She added, “Tbf [to be fair] my area of London has been hit really badly throughout this pandemic too. Wherever you are in the UK and the world over… a friendly reminder to do what you can to keep yourself and others safe… especially with NYE coming up. And love to everyone grieving a lost loved one.”

Recently another Game of Thrones’ alum Emilia Clarke acknowledged NHS workers saving lives in the UK. She posted on her Instagram in support of the COVID-warriors.
