The over-friendly reunion scene between Bronn (Jerome Flynn) and Podrick (Daniel Portman) on Game Of Thrones was totally improvised.

Jerome, who played Ser Bronn, recalled one of his favourite moments from filming during Con Of Thrones in Nashville, FilmSchoolRejects.com reports.

In the comedic moment, which appeared in season six, the actor spontaneously decided to grab Daniel’s crotch in the scene ‘for the look on his face’.

As a result Daniel’s surprised reaction to it in the moment was of course, completely genuine.

Jerome explained: ‘I decided to grab his balls and he had no idea that was coming. And that’s the shot they used.’

Game Of Thrones aired its last ever season back in May. The last time we saw Ser Bronn, he had been made Master of Coin and was trying to pitch the idea of building more brothels.

It was also revealed at the Con earlier this month that behind-the-scenes, things weren’t very glamorous, with the Throne Room being used as a simple storage space when the cameras weren’t rolling.

Concept artist Kieran Belshaw said: ‘They set up this test body pile in the throne room, and so I walked in there a few times and took lots of reference pictures.

‘You’ve got the space, you may as well use it,’ he added, later adding that when it wasn’t in use, or being fought over, it was mainly used to chuck things into to get out of the way.’

At the San Diego Comic Con this weekend, the Game Of Thrones panel referenced the huge editing blunder from season eight, when a very un-Westeros like coffee cup was left in shot in the fourth episode.

The cast, including Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) and Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), all toasted white coffee cups in Hall H.

Cunningham joked: ‘Someone left some coffee cups here. It’s Dornish wine!’

The coffee shop that provided the errant cup called for full credit in an interview with Metro.co.uk, after people mistook it for a Starbucks cup.

Game Of Thrones is available to watch on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.
