Filming for the highly anticipated Game of Thrones prequel series is well underway but information about the provisionally titled Bloodmoon is still scarce.
Leading the cast as an as yet unknown character is Naomi Watts, who was cast last year.
The actress shared a dressing room photo on her Instagram stories and some eagle-eyes fans via Decider noticed a brunette wig in the background leading many to believe she has given fans a sneak peek of what her character will look like.
In the photo, Watts is in a make-up chair in a trailer with a wig cap on. She added the caption: ‘Perfect way to start a 5am work day!! #biglittlelies.’
Watts is clearly enjoying the new season of Big Little Lies like the rest of us but the styled wig in the background is a delicious little teaser of what to expect in the new series.
Look, we’ll take what we can get at this stage.
Watts’ character is described as a ‘charismatic socialite hiding a dark secret and the wig looks ornate enough to fit that description.
However, the show is set thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, so not everything will be completely familiar to fans.
A Song of Ice and Fire author George RR Martin recently confirmed that Starks, White Walkers and direwolves will be featured in Bloodmoon as filming began in Belfast last month.
A number of photos have emerged from Titanic Studios in Belfast, showing new equipment and the presence of an orange mammoth sign outside on a public road indicating filming is taking place.
Screenwriter Jane Goldman is at the helm and other confirmed cast members include Jamie Campbell Bower, Toby Regbo and Georgie Henley.
Bloodmoon is currently in production for HBO.
