Itâs unclear if Bloodmoon will even materialise into a real show at this point, with the pilot designed to test whether it deserves a full series run.
Creator George RR Martin spilled some details about how it connects to Game Of Thrones, confirming House Lannister wonât be featured but you can expect some Starks loitering about.
Bloodmoon is penned by screenwriter Jane Goldman and George RR Martin, with an official synopsis reading: âTaking place thousands of years before the events of Game Of Thrones, the series chronicles the worldâs descent from the golden Age Of Heroes into its darkest hour.
âAnd only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeroâs history to the true origin of the White Walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend⊠itâs not the story we think we know.â
The Game Of Thrones prequel is scheduled to be released in 2020.
