Dorne started with one of the best characters, then they butchered all the others in season 5 and killed them all off in season 6 & 7. rendering the whole thing pointless, if only they had spent their budget on direwoves rather than dorne.

the show fucked dorne so hard. Doran is probably the best schemer of any character… they just didn't have enough to show it so they killed him off to simplify the story.

I know "Game of Thrones" is a work of fiction. But, I have to say this. Like him or hate him, Prince Doran Martell was a RATIONAL, HONORABLE and COMPASSIONATE ruler who had the best interests of his country (Dorne) and people at heart. He did his best to take care of his countrymen and keep them out of harm's way. He wanted to spare his country the widespread death and suffering that inevitably comes with war. Equally important, he wanted to keep his country and people from going to war for the sake of pride/revenge (revenge over Oberyn Martell's death in a duel that Oberyn himself VOLUNTEERED for) rather than actual self-defense. Prince Doran is much like Rick Grimes in "The Walking Dead". Both MEN put the safety/survival of their own respective countries/communities above any personal desires for vengeance that they might have had deep down in their hearts. Now, that is something that truly takes STRENGTH and COURAGE to do. Ellaria Sand, the Sand Snakes, the Dornish guards who stood by (and callously watched) while Doran was being MURDERED and members of the general Dornish population who hated Doran all have one thing in common. They are all, at best, immature and ungrateful CHILDREN who either don't realize or don't want to accept how much Prince Doran has done for their safety and well-being. And, at worst, they are all TREACHEROUS SNAKES who cannot and should not be trusted by anyone.

Sad to see how Dorne will be destroyed simply by the sand snakes' lust for revenge. Doran kept his people safe. This will not end well.

Oberyn got himself killed. If he would have just killed the mountain while he was on the ground instead of talking about his sister he would probably still be alive. That's just my opinion.

It's funny how the first episode of season 6 was basically an apology from the creators. "We know the Dorne plot really sucked, so we'll get rid of it in 1 episode. Sorry, we apologize." I can't wait to see the sand snakes die in season 7.

Don't care about the wave of hate and shit I'll get for this, but the ONLY reason they did this in the show is to pander to all the feminists who watch the show because they've tried to make Dany for 6 seasons be this badass conqueror (and she's still boring 😂😂). Doran is anything but 'weak' in the books. He's a calculating, calm, patient strategist (far more deadly than any of these stupid sand snakes could ever hope to be). 'Weak' men will never rule Dorne again, but idiot women will?? 😂😂😂 fuck you D&D. GRRM would never pander to any group at the expense the story and try to increase popularity. D&D are the really 'weak men' here.
