It was really awkward watching her struggle with the weight and balance of the spear, I remember shaking my head in disbelief as I saw it on TV and I knew I had to make this.

  1. this script was poorly written for the sand snakes/obara zzzz they could have gotten stunt doubles or edited that part out. ive seen keisha's other works and shes amazing, this script or edit doesnt do any justice for her or the scene smh.

  2. I was looking forward to the Sand Snakes and Dorne but it really hasn't translated well at all in this series so far. The books paint a picture of a really cool, unique place with an interesting culture. The Dornish respect woman and bastards, have a certain freedom with sexuality (exemplified by prince Oberyn), they fight dirty and they refuse to be conquered. It's amazing to think they hinted at all those things so brilliantly with Oberyn last season but have really dragged it down now that we're actually there in this season. On the plus side Doran is well cast.

  3. I think it would have been easier to pick a kung fu girl and train her as an actress than picking an actress and train her in kung fu.  These skills take a lifetime to master, acting, who fucking knows, a lot of folks have jumped from music or modeling to acting without any training at all (I know there's a lot of models who turned out to be terrrible actresses…)

  4. I actually do like the way the sand snakes (especially Obara) are pretty shitty and childish. Oberyn was so much of an incredible man that their thirst for revenge surpasses their actual wisdom and strength (killing the young innocent Myrcella and provoking a war ? Oberyn would have certainly never agreed to that). They're pretty dumb, but they are because they passionately want to defend the memory of an incredible man.

Just look at Obara's clumsyness. Sure it's ridiculous compared to Oberyn's mastery with the spear, but she's just a young girl. How could Oberyn be so awesome if his young daughter could be as good as him with a difference of like 20 years of experience between them ? THAT would be ridiculous.
But she wants to honor him and has his temper. She's on the way 🙂
Comparing her right now with her father would be as stupid as saying Arya is not as good as Ned used to be : they can't; they're teenagers ;-D
