  1. I love how a lot of GOT episode titles have a double meaning. Here for example, it's both the climmb of the Wall and Littlefinger's speech. I only noticed this recently. The previous episode "Kissed by fire" refers obviously to Ygritte but then also to the fight between The Hound, who is kissed by fire quite literally, and Beric, who swings a fiery sword and was resurrected by fire magic.

I enjoy your reactions by the way, don't worry there will always be some people who take reaction videos wayyy too seriously, but they're not the majority ^_^

  2. The dialogue between Varys and Littlefinger and the ensuing monologue is one of the greatest in all of GOT. From the minute Varys calls the throne the "Lysa Arryn of chairs", Littlefinger tells us his theory of life with "Chaos is a ladder" and ends with "The Climb is all there is" it is just incredible. Most people move past it, living for the action in GOT. But this near Shakespearean scene will echo further down the GOT line.

  3. Not a gore or horror fan. But friends who are have similar views to you. Think the gore you like might be 'comical' or so over the top so it seems fakeish. Here AND in REAL HISTORY, killing people to further your career or make you richer was a frequent occasion. And it was gory and gruesome! War of the roses is the basis for grrm's story. He took real life episodes and embellished. Shite is too real. LOL. So enjoying this retelling and watching YOUR face as we move forward slowly through the years. ☺ woohoo.

  4. Tyrion knows that Cersei will always defend her own bad actions when argued against but when it's actually Joffrey who has done something wrong then she stays silent, just like when he ordered Robert's bastards killed and Tyrion accused her of doing it, Cersei was silent. That's how he realised it wasn't her who gave the order.

  5. The guy who tortures Theon said that he is the son of Rickard Karstark at first (before he said that he is a liar).
You didn't know who that is. That was Robb's bannerman (the guy with the white hair), who got executed by Robb for killing the Lannister boys few episodes ago.

But then he said that he is a liar. So who could he be and why does he torture Theon? There were already some clues, but obviously hard to find.

  6. Some great dialogue in this episode. The discussion between Varys and Littlefinger is one of my favorite scenes in the entire series. It shows you two men with rivaling ideologies – a man who understands that sacrifices are necessary, but only if they serve a greater good; and a man who only sees a use in the lifes of others if they serve his own interests and who'll gladly throw them away if they don't. A humanitarian on one side, a sociopath on the other, you could argue.

The bit with Olenna and Tywin is obviously fascinating as well. Both trying to outwit the other, until Tywin gets tired and shows his strength to end the discussion. As well, Olenna is hilarious.

  7. The good news is the south side of the wall has this awesome slide made of ice with wicked fun curves and drops, better than any amusement park roller coaster we have. So after that long climb they got to ride it down to the bottom instead of climbing back down. Well worth the effort IMO

  8. Lady Olenna is one of my favorites. You know every time you see her on screen, someone’s going to get a piece of her mind but she does it with wit and wisdom. I’m so glad it was Tywin, lol. Ros was a good character. It hurt to see her murdered and especially by Joffrey. Great reaction as always.
