The breaking of Theon is so much worse in the books. His terror is total, because there is no way to figure out what to do to be safe from Ramsey's sadism, and all punishments are … severe.

It's indeed an uplifting ending. It's a repeat of season 1 with ep 9 ending on a tragic Stark death, and ep 10 ending on an uplifting Daenerys scene! 🙂

The turning point for this show really happened around 3×3-3×4. Really starts speeding up and the best is to come. Reason why the shows ratings have gone up 550% since Season 1, fastest award winning show ever and easily the most profitable/expensive tv series ever.
