A Game Of Thrones fan has re-created the series’ gruesome Red Wedding scene on Nintendo video game Animal Crossing.

And it’s definitely cuter than the original version.

Back in GOT season three Robb Stark met and fell in love with Talisa (Richard Madden and Oona Chaplin), which presented a problem because he was at the time promised to a daughter of the cruel Walder Frey (David Bradley).

Even though Walder swore a sacred oath that Robb, Catelyn (Michelle Fairley) and the then-pregnant Talisa would all be safe under his roof for the wedding, he, along with Roose (Michael McElhatton) and with the backing of Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance), betrayed the Starks, and Bolton (Michael McElhatton) and his men killed all three.

Roose said the now-famous phrase, ‘The Lannisters send their regards’ to Robb right before he stabbed him in the heart.

All of this all came to a head in an episode called The Rains of Castemere, in which we saw the infamous wedding between Edmure and Roslin.

And now, one GOT fan has taken the scene one step further by re-creating it for a video game.

The fan named only as Rocketcatxx on social media posted screenshots of the re-creation on both Reddit and Instagram where she posted side-by-side stills of her version of the wedding with the actual scenes from GOT.

‘I’m back and I recreated the Red Wedding on Animal Crossing. Do as you will,’ she captioned the snaps.

One grab contains snippets of a loved-up Robb and Talisa – and no offence to Richard Madden, but the Animal Crossing version was so much cuter.

Another shows the brutal scene where Talisa gets stabbed with a heartbroken Robb looking on.

While one shows Catelyn where she attempts to save her son’s life by holding a knife to the throat of Walder’s wife Roslin Frey (played by Alexandra Dowling).

Game of Thrones is available to stream on NOW TV.
