Game of Thrones showcased some of the finest warriors in fantastical television history. Out of all the warriors on the show, Ser Gregor Clegane (The Mountain) was the most feared. Why wouldn’t he be fearsome? The Mountain was played by the world’s strongest man Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson himself!

Björnsson showed off his great strength by breaking the world’s deadlift record- he lifted 501 kg. After setting up the milestone, he challenged long time rival Eddie Hall to a boxing match. The match has been dubbed as the ‘heaviest boxing match’ in history.

Hall, 32, said, “I’m training for this fight like I trained to be the strongest man in the world. No stone unturned and anyone in my way is getting milled down. With the experience MTK Global brings to the table, this event will be even better than it was going to be.”

“As for the fight itself, I have zero doubt in my mind. Cry baby Thor is getting folded in half and sent packing back to Iceland.”

Bjornsson, 31, added, “I’m very excited with MTK Global’s involvement. This is something I’ve been taking very seriously. I want others to know how serious this fight will be. I’ve been extremely focused and dedicated to my training as always. I am looking forward to getting in that ring.”

The fight is scheduled for September 2021. The Game of Thrones star recently endorsed Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla on his Instagram. Are you excited about the bout? Tell us in the comments below!
