This scene is from Game of Thrones Season 3, Episode One: Valar Dohaeris
After the defeat at blackwater bay, Davos is found by some cliffs by Salladhor Saan’s men and is taken aboard where he finds out that Stannis and Melisandre has been burning men alive for “speaking against them”, being servants of the darkness. He then convinces Salladhor to take him to Dragonstone so he can talk to Stannis himself and well…
Valar Morghulis, Valar Dohaeris..

It's funny because Melisandre was actually really merciful towards Davos in the books, she actually emphasizes with the loss of his sons.
Thank god they kept the same layout for dragonstone for season 7.
ser davos actor did amazing job . while he was listening . and also i want to hear melisandra scream while burning alive
If Mel knew something would happen, why didn't she say anything at all?
If Stannis was such a mannis then he would take full responsibility for leaving the Red Woman at Dragonstone instead of blaming Davos. If you wanted to be king, fucktard, then realize that all decisions are YOURS and stop blaming the people under you. Stannis deserved to be kill by a woman.
I'm sorry but how exactly would melisandre stop the wildfire in the battle of blackwater?
How would she have saved the men from wildfire?
O shit I forget that Davos been to Dragonstones lol. It is weird seeing someone else inhabit the Dragonstones instead.
Liam Cunningham deserves more awards for his acting.
Under Stannis's rule, everything is dark and miserable, with constant cloudy sky. The castle is dark-looking and strict and reeks of tyranny, fear, and depression. Dragonstone looks like a villain's lair.
Under Daenerys' rule, everything is beautiful and hopeful, with the sun touching the island, the day is nice. The castle is somehow brighter and dreamy. Dragonstone is a Disney princess place.
D&D really love Stannis and they totally never saw him as a villain.
Yes…I know that Dragonstone in the books looks even more like a villain's lair, but it's not forsaken by the sun until little Dany comes.
excellent how the same set is played out in season 7
Everything about this scene is so on point
Daenerys has arrived !
Stannis wasn't hearing that Bro before hoes speech.
I'm going to use Melisandre's speech the next time I don't get picked for a job
All of the actors act so well in this scene
religion
Melisandre couldnt do shit. Stannis could never won at blackwater.
"The mother of a flying demon must be a witch. And the punishment for witches is death by fire"
-Lex Luthor, Batman V Superman
Absolutely love Liam Cunningham in this scene, best possible choice to play Davos.
what's name of great soundtrack at the beginning? i cant find anywhere, i need to listen it again and again.
How the hell she will save the men from burning?
It's satisfying to see this scene almost perfectly reversed in the season 6 finale.
the actor of Davos (Liam) move my emotions by the final calling for Stannis (your grace!!) he was hoping that the honorable man of Stannis still somewhere inside him..the he believed in and decided to follow..well done Liam.
"Your grehs!! Your grehs!!"
In retrospect her hubris did end up destroying Stannis.
how could melisandre have stopped the ship of wildfire?
well right after I posted this I remembered about the Vale,so to reword my comment is the Vale the most easily defended Castle because of its geological advantage?
Is Dragonstone the most geological defended Castle is Westerros??? Like it's is surrounded on three sides with just a small entrance at the front of the castle.
Bravo D&D. Davos willing to kill Melisandre because she is evil and uses blood magic and leads Stannis astray.
Season 6: do you know of any magic that could help him?
Fucking hacks can't even remember their own scenes.
Melisandre, did I ever tell you how much I hate blood magic, sorcery, your religion and especially you for practicing all those things, manipulating and then abandoning my king, burning his daughter alive and being responsible for the death of my son, to the point where I already tried to murder you once? Now, with all that said, could you please perform this almost never before seen miracle on this random dude I don't really know or care about and whom I met like two weeks ago? He was a good friend.
I love Davos has a Geordie accent he was my favourite character in the books before this but now class
If only that dagger just went a little bit further.
0:19 do I smell onions?
Davos: your grace.
0:27 you abandoned me. 🙁
0:32 Say something nice
0:35 Stan: I heard you were dead.
0:37 Nailed it!
2:13 that look
great work stanis in sending your most loyal man into dungeon while you sit and hear that crzy bitches story
Stannis is the best character. The directors always gave Stephen a chance to have a little look, just a tiny look of emotion in such a strong character, even until the very end. It saddens me that Stannis' story ended the way it did. It didn't make sense on so many levels. Stannis burns his only heir? And if he did, isn't that like the ultimate sacrifice to the Red God? Shouldn't he have been in Rhllor's favor if that was the case? Instead, the greatest battle commander Westeros has ever seen is DECIMATED by a supposedly small, then suddenly huge Bolton force? I'm not saying Stannis won't burn Shireen in the books, but i see this situation turning out very differently under very different circumstances. Stannis will always be the One True King.
everything about this scene is fucking perfect
"Oh, and his acting choices. I’ll give you an example. When I got back from Blackwater and I was on the rock and burnt to bits, we rehearsed that scene. And this is a man I’ve been breaking my back for for a long time. His first line was, “I thought you were dead.” And most actors, they’d stand up and there’d be a moment of recognition, that one of the family had returned.
Stephen decides he’ll sit down, with his back to me, and he just looked over his shoulder for a moment when he says, “I thought you were dead.” He gave me nothing! That was really brave, because most would go for sympathy or emotion, but Stephen has no desire to be liked. He just doesn’t give a fuck!
But for me, it’s brilliant for the scene! Because that’s how my character feels, like, “Is that all I’m going to get?!” It’s a wonderful, wonderful thing we have, that power shift. Stephen’s a joy, a joy.
— Liam Cunningham about Stephen Dillane
Now that stannis is dead there's nothing stopping Davos from killing her
Melisandre is like that shitty girlfriend that steals your best friend away.
Ser Davos. The nicest badass that ever lived.
I hate how the show makes it seem like Stannis is Melisandre's bitch.
So this witch is a firebender or what
"She will destroy us all!" Davos hit the nail right on the head with that one. 2:53
