  1. It just dawned on me for the first time today watching this scene when Jorah was asking Barristan about sitting on the small council, he was trying to feel him out to see if he had knowledge that Jorah had been feeding Varys information for years. It's the small details that make the show great.

  2. Noticed the recent seasons are missing scenes like these. You don't need CGI or practical effects for bantering or interactions between two characters. Now it's like they trying to get to the finish line asap.

  3. I swear every other scene in game of thrones seems to be two characters shooting the breeze with some expositional dialogue about stuff from the books/the past and then it trails off into a difference of opinion about stuff and one leaves after a sick burn and the other stays and looks worried.

Not bashing it, just an observation

  4. Meh, honor what you swear..
But its okay to be taken captive/give up and be pardoned..
for many others its okay to rebel against the mad king, but its a disgrace to kill the mad king? Just because you swore a different oath than the others.. Both oaths consist basically of protect and follow the king.
Like i dont understand why ned hates jaime(not only ned but most others). They where rebelling because he was mad, killed his own sworn lords for no reason. Couldnt that be reason enough for jaime? Isnt it good that he ended the war a little earlier? This should be enough to actually respect him.(not taking into the account that the mad king was gonna kill off the whole capitol, since nobody knew that).

Like ned is a man of honor, the law is the law? Shouldn't he accept what the mad king did because of the law? Why is his reasons better than jaimes?
