  1. Anybody else get a slight feeling that Tywin was being a tad protective of Tyrion here? Or at least very much on his side.

He remains quiet throughout most of the scene, one could assume because Tyrion was biting back so well and there was nothing to appropriately bite at Joffrey with yet. But the moment he threatens Tyrion, he immediately calls the little shit king out on his bullshit and then promptly silences the entirety of the table, very much enraged by Joffrey's immature, ignorant and cruel idiocy.

Maybe not, but when I watch the scene I get the feeling Tywin was not about to let the blind idiot king threaten his son.

  2. really tick me off when this wimpy joffrey said his father(king robert) kill rhaegar…well king robert was not your father dickhead, your uncle was your father, lol…so glad knowing that this scum never found out about that, pathetic

  3. I'm not sure it's ever been fully appreciated how excellent Charles Dance was in this role. I'd bet about 80 percent of his lines are said at one volume for his entire run on the show, but his performance never comes across as wooden or one-dimensional. Here, he manages to remind everyone he's the most powerful man in the room with a tilt of the head, a steely-eyed glare and a perfect delivery of the line (I love the little stress on the word "tired"). And he always brought the best out of every other actor with him in the scene. I particularly love his exchange with Tommen when he's telling Tommen what makes a good king.

  4. "And I brought you up as my son". No one says this to their own children.
The moment you realize that Tywin let the truth out…Tyrion is not his son…but he is still a Lannister.
