  1. Why did trystan deserve to die? what did he do wrong? how are the sand snakes not the villains here? They obviously get off on murder while he shows restraint in regards to hurting family…and he considers these literal bastards his family no less!

  2. How the fuck is areo hotah, one of the bearded priests who marry their axes, who burn their sigil onto their chest, who live only to serve, obey, protect.
He is one of the best body gaurds/ fighters alive but gets lolstomped by some "bad pussy"

  3. I really don't get all the love for this guy. Oberyn's death was no reason to go to war but elia's? Atleast in the books he's planning his revenge but here he just lets it go. Deserved this death for doing nothing.

  4. Alright I think I figured it out… All I need to do in order to become prince of Dorne is to murder the current prince and his bodyguard while all the other guards watch. What are they sell-swords? I mean not ONE guard cares more about his prince than money?

  5. IDK why everyone hates this storyline. I mean, I hate the Sand Snakes but its more like a "Joffrey" type of hate. I think they are scumbags who need to perish in wildfire. I don't hate the writing.

  6. prince Doran death why??? ik cuz HBO, they dont have budget to invest on more characters so they just wipe dorne storyline. I bet with my life ellaria sand will die on season 7 killed by euron/anyone

  7. I know "Game of Thrones" is a work of fiction. But, I have to say this. Like him or hate him, Prince Doran Martell was a RATIONAL, HONORABLE and COMPASSIONATE ruler who had the best interests of his country (Dorne) and people at heart. He did his best to take care of his countrymen and keep them out of harm's way. He wanted to spare his country the widespread death and suffering that inevitably comes with war. Equally important, he wanted to keep his country and people from going to war for the sake of pride/revenge (revenge over Oberyn Martell's death in a duel that Oberyn himself VOLUNTEERED for) rather than actual self-defense. Prince Doran is much like Rick Grimes in "The Walking Dead". Both MEN put the safety/survival of their own respective countries/communities above any personal desires for vengeance that they might have had deep down in their hearts. Now, that is something that truly takes STRENGTH and COURAGE to do. Ellaria Sand, the Sand Snakes, the Dornish guards who stood by (and callously watched) while Doran was being MURDERED and members of the general Dornish population who hated Doran all have one thing in common. They are all, at best, immature and ungrateful CHILDREN who either don't realize or don't want to accept how much Prince Doran has done for their safety and well-being. And, at worst, they are all TREACHEROUS SNAKES who cannot and should not be trusted by anyone.

  8. I don't understand why so many people think this is bad writing…I was shocked the fist time I saw this scene, but it makes sense to me
it's just like the red wedding: rob died in a conspiracy of assholes as much as doran, if you don't like it's your business, but don't say it was bad writing just because the story didn't end the way you wanted to

  9. When you kill off a character, you're trading all future opportunities to tell stories with that character for one moment, so you better make sure that moment is worth it and helps bring the story forward, GOT is usually the master of this art, the deaths of Ned, Rob, Joffrey, Tywin, the red viper and many more each had its unique impact on other character of the story and the story itself and helps the plot to move forward. The death of Doran has no impact on the plot until the last ten minutes in the last episode, even then it was not brought up. So his death provides no influence other than pure shock value. And if you kill off a character just for the shock value of it, fuck you.

  10. The moment that I knew the showrunners had well and truly jumped the shark once and for all. The early seasons of GoT were great, with the emphasis on political machinations, intrigue, and the relationships between the central character. Now the show is a bad joke, like a caricature of its self, too self aware of its popularity and its reputation for unexpectedly killing off characters in gratuitous ways. Literally every aspect of the show has declined from the early seasons onwards, most of all the quality of the writing (which used to be good, but is now… Beyond horrible). Every plotline feels rushed, characters motivations are stupid and nonsensical. It fucking pisses me off, after watching the first 2 seasons I marathoned all the books in anticipation of what this show would become. And yet somehow, the showrunners managed to fuck up a winning formula. It's no wonder the closer they stuck to the source material, the better the show was, quality-wise at least.
