Seriously, I've heard these theories so much and so often that I've begun to wonder if it will soon be impossible to have characters who are not Bran.

This is not for the contest. The thing that makes my eyes roll is people guessing when the author will release his final books. He keeps seeing all your juicy fan theories and wonders "what if I incorporated that". I mean, that's what I would do. Moreover, the longer he waits to release them, the higher the sales will be when he eventually does.

The one that makes my blood boil is I heard someone on a podcast suggest Jon would be the rider for drogon because of his scene last season. Like wtf let’s just ignore that Danny and drogon have a telepathic connection and he shows up whenever she is in any real danger to protect her. She’s not bonded with him or anything. Also it’s not a coincidence that rehagal (or however you spell it) is the only other one alive. You know since he is named after Jon’s birth father

I can't say I'm a fan of any of the theories that suggest that Bran is "all the Brans of Westeros/Stark history." I mean, come on…is Jon all of the Aegons of Targaryen history? (And the warging/etc. abilities of Bran is not a "get-into-jail-free" card for this theory…there's just not enough evidence to suggest this will be possible, in my opinion…Bran is not Hodor, but that's the only occasion of this supposed evidence for this theory thus far.)

The end scene is Bran waking up from a dream and Ned telling him he needs to come with him when he executes a nights watch deserter. I will murder D&D if that's how they end it.

The fact that some people think Varys is a merman makes my blood boil. One of their arguments is that you never see him wear shorts. If that's true I think every character in GOT is a fucking merman.

I can't stand the Ned lives and Jaqen saved him and got beheaded in his place. Absurd.

worst theory: that jon has a stronger claim than daenerys. are we just gonna forget rhaegar was disinherited? or that rhaegar's marriage to elia would N E V E R have been annulled?

If the NK were smart he would head straight for Kings Landing. 1 million. Maybe Cersei will wind up being the real savior, burning the city and not allowing the NK to kill and turn them…BURN THEM ALL. I think this will happen in the books and on the show.

The theory that Game of Thrones ends with all mens death. That makes my blood boil because after all this death and heartbreak G.R.R. Martin would leave us with no more death and heartbreak.

My least favourite theory is that all this R+L=J, N+A=J, B+C=R etc. is just an attempt to make algebra interesting.

Definitely all of the “secret” Targaryens, or that Rhaegar was in hiding as Mance/Etc.

But the most entertaining is by far Varys the Merman.

The theory that Bran is really the Night King just makes my head hurt, it makes no sense to me at all.

The theories about Rhaegar having not died at the Trident and actually being Jaqen H'ghar or Mance. It's like… Rhaegar died, guys, let it go.

I could absolutely see Arya pulling a "What are your intentions with Jon" on Daenerys.

P.S. I always thought of Arya's Faceless Men training as a loophole for the Many-Faced God and his disciples. They seem to be pretty well bound to the whole a name must be offered thing. But, what if there are people who need to be killed, but no one to offer up their names to the House of Black and White? Well, you could always find someone with the right potential and mindset, and who has a ton of reason all their own to want these people dead. Train that person up, and release them back into the wild so to speak, and you're likely to find that little problem will be taken care of.

“This one is no one” theory, that Missandea is a faceless man that is sent to Dany to kill her and help start slavery again.

I hate R+L=J. So much. Too bad it's true. Let's keep Eddard Stark, this typical honor before reason character in a fantasy setting without giving him any nuance. Let's give Jon, who stands on his own without being the center of some conspiracy and give him a connection with the other main character. It's so very pulled out of an ass.

that lemon tree dany thing makes me furious. basically it says that dany could not have lived in bravos in a red doored house because they had a lemon tree there and bravos is to cold for that. instead they were in dorne, where they have lemon trees.
