Game of Thrones involved a lot of politics and certainly a lot of betrayal. The various houses of Westeros spent a lot of time battling it out between one-another over who would eventually get the Iron Throne. But HBO viewers also witnessed families fighting amongst themselves for power.
One of the biggest families on the show – house Stark – never truly fought within itself for power.
However, it has now been revealed that this was indeed going to be the case in a scrapped pitch by George RR Martin.
The author of A Song of Ice and Fire has been involved in the making of the show since season one.
And during the pitching stage of both the story and the TV show, Martin had many different plans for the now Queen in the North – Sansa Stark (played by Sophie Turner).

During this pitching stage Martin told of the families in Game of Thrones being at ends with each other.
But this particular part of the pitch details the family each having a member of the family who is not completely loyal.
Martin began: “Each of the contending families will learn it has a member of dubious loyalty in its midst.
“Sansa Stark, wed to Joffrey Baratheon, will bear him a son, the heir to the throne.”
Meanwhile, Tormund Giantsbane star Kristofer Hivju recently spoke out about what the giantslayer is doing now the show is over.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Kristofer explained: “Jon is in a huge depression, so he needs Tormund to cheer him up, by the fire, warming each other.”
Jon Snow (Kit Harington) is of course in a bad way since the end of the show, as he found himself being forced to kill his lover, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), for slaughtering innocent people.
This has obviously left quite the impact on Jon since the show’s end, and Tormund is there to help him out.
