Game of Thrones‘ Sean Bean and Unforgotten‘s Nicola Walker star in a newly-released trailer for the BBC’s upcoming four-part drama Marriage.
The duo play a married couple named Ian and Emma, trying to deal with everything that comes with being married for 30 years – the hopes, the fears, the ups, the downs, the insecurities.
While we are sure there are plenty of serious moments spread across the four hour-long episodes, the trailer shows us there’s plenty of fun to be had too, such as Ian making sure they turn the dishwasher on before going upstairs for some fun, and the duo realising the argument they are about to have is over jacket potatoes.

There isn’t long to wait for this to reach our screens either as it premiers later this month on August 14.
We’ve also got The Inbetweeners and The Irregulars star Henry Lloyd-Hughes playing Emma’s boss Jamie, New Tricks and Grandpa In My Pocket‘s James Bolam as Emma’s father, and We Are Lady Parts and Mood‘s Chantelle Alle as Ian and Emma’s daughter Jessica.
Stefan Golaszewski, the man behind Him and Her and Mum, has written and directed this drama, so if you’ve ever seen either, you’ll know that we could be in for a real treat.

Meanwhile, Digital Spy previously sat down with Bean to reflect on the era-defining Lord of the Rings trilogy as it celebrated the first of three 20-year anniversaries.
“To do that was such a great thing to be able to do. I never thought it would take off as it did, you know?” he said. “We weren’t aware of what they were doing with all the other units, and how they were putting it all together.”
Marriage begins on BBC on Sunday, August 14 at 9pm on BBC One, and will also be available on BBC iPlayer.
