I love the idea of jamie vs Ned and Jon as well. Its like he is planting little seeds of challenge at people he doesn't paticularly give a fig about. I love this series. I hope it goes on for 12 seasons.

A time is never specified. It's almost a parallel universe, if you like. The clothing might give an idea of a time of days gone by, but the books never gave an exact era.

@XSereneXShadowX Well it doesn't help some people, especially Catelyn Stark resented him as a bastard, a name that many people identify him as.

@hothotheat3000 more of a grim stone face just like a stark should have. only arya and jon in the books are said to have resembled Ned. sansa,bran, rickon & robb resemble their southerner mother. sean bean has a ned stark look.

I think this guy does great as Jamie. If you read the books he is obviously a pretty man..i think Nikolai has a rough edge to him also though.
