I didn't say shit about Spartacus. I just said I wasn't impressed with what I saw in the beginning. I am allowed an opinion, no?

hey, Spartacus has it's way of working, and it's an excellent show. The effects are done like that with a porpouse. The acting isn't bad neither. If you want to say that Game of Thrones is excelent, say it without saying shit about Spartacus.

if a movie has a budget of 50 million and is 2 hours, and a tv series has a budget of 60 and is ten hours, I know where I would expect the biggest battle scene.

The person i was replying to said its budget was nowhere near movie budgets i simply told him the series has a larger budget than most films nothing more.

50-60 million dollars… to produce 10 hours of material. Do you know a lot of movies that are 10 hours long?

Season one got around 50-60 million dollars and season two got 15% more. That’s more than most films but not as much as most epics like troy.

Easily the best episode of the series so far. Season two meandered a bit, largely because the book does, but the last two episodes were a good pay off-as well as the set up to the events of "A Storm of Swords" which is going to comprise seasons three and four. We're now at the meat of the story…

Comparing Game of Thrones to Spartacus? Really? Spartacus is also a good show and their battle scenes and acting are supposed to be 'exagerated'.
Yes, Game of Thrones is way above Spartacus in awesomeness, it has an epic story, awesome characters and cast and the plot is just mindblowing.
But you don't need to talk shit about one show just to enjoy another. It is known..

i hope you know hbo that if you cancel game of thrones then everyone who likes that show will protest. meaning canceling subscriptions. not watching any of the shows at all. that way your ratings (you would start losing money) and all your other shows will get low ratings. then when the other shows rating are low they would go to a different channel like starz.(then you would be out of business) my advice is to not cancel game of thrones because game of throne put george w. bushs head on a stake

Bending rules doesn't mean that he's bad. Look at Stannis. He's a total rule follower, yet he would have been better not to remove Davos' fingers. That's one of the points about Stannis, he's too law abiding that he follows through with harsh punishments. Also, it's as if he enjoys it. That would make him evil in my book, though I still like Stannis as a character in the books.

Well, I was still looking at things a long the lines of Robert Barratheon being dead, so since Joffrey is not his real son, that would make Stannis the rightful heir, not Renly, under those terms.

I agree that Tyrion would have been a good king. We can see it in how he tried to fix things. There was an interesting interview of GRRM, where we get to hear his opinion, and he said a good person does not exactly mean a good king. He used Jimmy Carter as an example.

Give it a try? Me?! I read the books 3 times and have watched the series I don't know how many times! It is the best Television I have ever seen. Yes, it has ups and downs, not every episode is a thriller but still, a simply fantastic show on every level!

the first episode does look like a cheap animated crap but the series is amasing and it went better with each episode. you should really give it a try

im pretty sure it will be about another year since they announced that they would do the 3rd season after the 2nd episode of season 2 but also announced that the fourth season will be showed only a few months after the 3rd season ended. but i am not positive

1 Loras Tyrell did team up the reason was Loras father Lord Mace Tyrell wanted to see his dougther Margery queen 2 Sansa dident end up going whit the Hound in the north and 3 Tyrion dident die but was left scared for life
