My favorite season too although season 4 was equally incredible it definitely had the best finale.

What if like Jon Snow gets on fire one day and is all like… "Hey, it does't hurt"
And from there spawns the idea that he is the offspring of rhaegar and Lyanna 😉 

Though it doesn't matter since he joined the night's watch, does it? It wouldn't change anything.

I think if Lyanna was Jon's mother Ned would have told Catelyn. He loved her and it hurt her so very much to see Jon every day raised as Ned's son. He wouldn't tell her such a hurtful lie, except he didn't trust her, which i cannot imagine.

agreed, but thinking logically, and for the theory to have any ultimate bearing on the outcome of the story, they would have had to have been married; the targaryens practiced polygamy in the past, and there is no reason to doubt that an honorable man such as rhaegar would have hesitated to marry his love.

There are many signs that Jon is Rhaegar's and Lyanna's son, yet there are no signs that Rhaegar and Lyanna married. I'm not saying that it isn't true, just that them being married is completely made up. So I don't see why madcowdisease25 got too many negative votes for that comment.

I believe the theory goes that Lyanna willingly ran away with Rhaegar, and while gone married him; so Jon would be legitimate.

He'd still be a bastard though, as Lyanna was not married.

That's a very, very, very popular theory called R+L = J. Rhaegar Targaryen is the father and Lyanna is the mother.

Did anyone wonder who is the mother Eddard's bastard child? I don't he has a bastard child though. This is just a theory: What if he didn't have a bastard child, what if the mother is Lyanna. She was the root of everything, but just an "if".
