Tywin is definitely a grear teacher. The great Lannister irony is that all three of his children become great in their own respect, but still hate him. Jaime is a great fighter but hates Tywin for making him read. Cercei took the Realpolik to heart but resented her unequal treatment. Tyrion became a genuine intellectual but for the longest time didn't get a chance to put his talent into practice because of his disability.
After a few years of being bugged over "that scene", the actors (NCW and LH) and director broke confidentiality and basically said that the scene was written and shot as "consensual but twisted" but that it was edited in a way that the director did not like. If you look closely, you can see that Cersei is kissing him back and grabbing onto him, but they only show it for a split second and then cut away to focus on Jamie acting rapey. The Dragon Demands (I think) does a good breakdown of this scene. Basically, we can all happily go ahead and assume that Jaime is not a rapist but whoever edited the scene needs therapy.
I fookin' hate Thenns.
No borderline dude. it was RAPE and incestual rape no less hahahaha oh man that's so gross and twisted
If they meant that to be consensual D&D are dumber than I thought.
Cersei says “no”, “don’t”, “stop” multiple times. It’s explicitly, undeniably rape.
And just because she had sexual w him before doesnt magically make this not rape.
Did you notice the hilt of that dagger Daario uses? It's a naked woman with her chest pushed out and her hands over her boobs. I think it's the same one he used to save Jorah in the Dothraki holy city?
the Jaime raping Cersei scene does NOT happen in the books
NEMEBATAS!!!
Our first child is dead.
Let's make another one!
#fuckOlly
he is just called a prince cuz way back when the 7 kingdoms were independent doren was the only kingdom that beat the targaryens so unlike the other 6 doren stayed independent for years after the first targaryens took westeros they only became part of the 7 kingdoms after the doren and targaryens started to marry each other.
Sam took Gilly to Mole's Town, a little town just south of the Wall where Watchmen often go to visit brothels. =P But Gilly is to just clean etc, not work as a whore of course.
Just wanted you to know that even though I get the early episodes I still come here to give you a like on your videos. Peace!
Alistair – you are a cool cat. Thank you for always being a gentleman.
Can't wait another seasons reacts from u 👏 hurry up 😂😂
I love your argument on whether it was rape or not .it was one of the most talked scenes
As usual great job guys! Your reactions and reviews are fun to watch. Now, a question for you. Why kill Geoffrey? (Except that he is a real C**t). Who stands to gain the most from his death? Certainly not Tyrion or Sansa(they gain nothing, revenge for being treated badly, maybe). I'm sure that you two will figure it out as your analysis is always in depth and thought out. TC
The cutest reactors ever!! Ran like hell when i saw you guys had posted a new video.
The rape scene is supposed to be consensual…so yeah…both Nikolaj (Jaime) and the writers said that it was consensual but it looked weird when the episode came out.
It wasn’t really rape. More like…reluctant sex. Cersei wanted it, but she was trying to deny her feeling saying “Stop. It’s wrong.” But she was only putting up a minor fight. Still messed up and borderline rape, but the show writers didn’t intend it to be.
Early episode? Yes! You guys are killing it! 😀
Dude, I just found out something trippy, the actor who plays Podrick is actually the son of the actor who played Ser Rodrick. Ain't that some shit?
Professor Tywin
Great reactions.
Nothing wrong with saying it looks like borderline rape. We as viewers don't know for sure how they meant to portray that. The only person that knows if it is rape or not would be cercei..
We are just saying that it borderline LOOKS like rape. Because we have no way of knowing if she liked it or not. Couples play around with rape scenes all the time. Not saying it's right…just saying it's not your business to tell c ercei she was raped. Do you really think if she felt like she was raped she wouldnt have him executed. Spoiler… last season she almost had him executed for disagreeing with her. I highly doubt the ruthless Cercei Lannister would tolerate Jamie actually raping her.
Interesting what Tommens first response was to the good king question……
Yeah poor Ollie…
In my opinion jamie didn't rape cersei, she isn't the type of women to get raped and not scratch someone's eyes out or get revenge against that person. Remember during the battle of blackwater when she was going to kill herself before she got raped. She also knew exactly what to say to jamie to get him to stop she just decided not to say it, no one can manipulate jamie like she can.
That scene with Pod and Tyrion always makes me cry .
34:06 just the arrogance, haha…TY guys, enjoyed it.
Love your reactions to this. so awesome to see how you are becoming fanatics like us.
Remember they're already caught up with the show so the eps might come a little faster and spoilers aren't a problem anymore. They know everything.
I'm with Vizor. Kinda rapey, but she kept saying, "It's not right." She didn't really fight too hard. She just knew it was wrong in that moment.
I think pod should be the mvp for his extreme loyalty. He has the chance to be a sir and he won't say a thing. Who else if offered that deal would not take it. PODDRICK should definetly be the mvp.
Make note of your thoughts on the Queen of Thorns in that notebook and highlight them, as you will wish to refer back to them one day.
