  1. "Stannis is the rightful king".
This show is playing games with its viewers. It had them believe Ned Stark would fix things, then they were certain Joffrey would be removed by Stannis or Robb Stark and of course Tyrion was going to be cleared of the accusations he faced.
By the end of season 6, there was no fool alive who wasn't sure Cersei would die early in Season 7. Now they still believe Daenerys will win.

  2. This channel is growing nicely :)) 2.5k subscirbers already. Congrats, I hope you keep growing, you two go into this really deeply, which for such complex show is so necessary I really appreciate and enjoy it. ;D You both are super intelligent and sharp and well spoken. Are you going to do any other show after you caught Kathryn up to GoT??

  3. I love your podcast discussions! Listening to Melissa explain her interpretation and knowledge of the show is like taking a class. And Kathryn's reactions are priceless and her predictions sometimes spot on. I can't wait for season 6 to begin.

  4. Hey Queens 😃 great discussion. I am with Kathryn on the Olly issue, Jon was your friend he told you more than once why he had to let the wildlings through, Sam explained it too but Olly betrayed Jon by doing what he did his ears was too hard! Jon already merked the Thenn that ate Olly's family he needs to realise that what Jon went through and must have explained on their return that it was proof that what he did was necessary regardless of them being your enemies, Jon never said that they had to work or live with the wildlings for goodness sake they were going to have their own land.

  5. You could just say you saw a comment mentioning that there's another Targaryen in play in the books (that hasn't been introduced in the show), and that's why you keep slipping up :)p

  6. 26:54 arya was also very dark when she killed polliver at the crossroads inn. she enjoyed it and the look on her face while watching him die. also when she killed the frey soldier, hysterically, repeatedly stabbing him.

  7. if stannis had become king he would have hanged brienne as a traitor for supporting renly. and she was indeed a traitor. a dumb and stubborn one. brienne somehow beating the hound was the most ludicrous scene in the entire show. imo.

  8. this is where the book ends . YOU CAN TELL THAT THE BOOK WRITER BASE THIS SCENE OFF OF JULIUS CAESAR. Julius Caesar was the dictator of the Roman Empire; and Jon Snow was Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch – both leaders in their time Both seem to have encountered a similar fate. On the day of his death; Julius Caesar received a petition from Tillius Cimber, asking Caesar to recall his exiled brother. Similarly, Olly came to Jon Snow to tell him that a Wildling had information on the whereabouts of Jon’s uncle.Caesar’s conspirators surrounded him; just as Jon was surrounded by his Watch brothers. Caesar was then stabbed 23 times by his conspirators in the chested . Jon was stabbed multiple times by his Watch brothers. As horrible as his death was it just showed how much of a leader and great character he was to be giving THIS death.

  9. tbf Jon didn't end a war. He led the wildlings inside the walls. And that's what the "war" was about. Wildlings wanted in and the crows were charged to prevent that from happening. In a functioning Westeros Jon would have been sentenced to death for treason by the Warden of the North. And looking from the law percpective rightly so. Obviously letting them in was the right call, but still, technically he commited treason and betrayed the position he was voted into. Not arguing he did something wrong, but saying "Jon literally ended the war. Something that hadn't been done for how many hundreds of years?" is silly. If he ended it, he did so by willingly letting them in and losing the war on purpose and endangering everyone inside.

From Alliser Thorne's percpective it was absolutely the right call to punish Jon for his betrayal on the thousands of years old oath he believes in.

  10. I am afraid she's spoiled already about Jon! It was the most talked about event for a year, unless you live under a rock you wouldn't know about it! Maybe and I and hope I am wrong! Love your  reactions! I been a sub since the beginning!

  11. The part where Ser Robert Strong (Gregor / Mountain) has "taken a holy vow of silence until all Your Grace's enemies are gone" reads to me more like "Ser Robert Strong will never speak because Cersei will never run out of enemies in this world." I assume that the method for bringing Gregor back from the brink of death required all sorts of Frankenstein nonsense, especially when he was requesting the dwarves' head that was mistaken for Tyrion earlier in the season among other body parts. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find that Gregor simply doesn't even have a jaw or a tongue anymore, thus he'll never speak.
