ah, the article about this scene just annoys me as most of those stuntwomen didn't have to earn their way into the business like the guys do through extensive training and experience in various skills or aspects. They also didn't have to meet a similar physical requirement to the guys of actually having any kind of muscle and more often than not allowed to be scrawny while thin guys would be denied such work. Then behind the scenes these women act like badasses for a pretty trivial stunt (considering the safety measures put in place and my experience in fire sciences for firefighting).

I am still on season two but just came here out of excitement. The dragon fire ruined harrenhal which could not be taken down my thousands of men and yet these men are still wiggling in dragon fire as if nothing happened. They should have just melted on the ground. Makes no sense.
This scene has problems…not necessarily in terms of special effects,but in terms of the plausibility of the story: if the situation was inescapable and the sons of the harpy were truly too many and too dangerous for even Dany and Drogon to face them, then how the hell did Tyrion et company escape from the arena? Other than that, Dany mounted on the back of a dragon like true Targaryen princess and a glorious legend of the past incarnate was awesome.
I would LOVE to see them do an adaptation of the " Dance of the Dragons "
