Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 9 – The Dance of Dragons – Video Review

Alright what’s going on guys it’s Trev back again here to bring you another video. In this one I will be reviewing Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 9 The Dance of Dragons. Spoiler warning, wow this episode’s ending was incredible!

A very special thank you to HBO for sending us some promotional items to give away this season. Check out the HBO store in the link below:

So Stannis decides to follow the lady Melisandre and actually put his daughter to the torch as a sacrifice to the lord of light. This was an absolutely brutal scene to watch and I am no longer really a fan of Stannis. I will no longer refer to him as ‘Stannis the Mannis’ as he clearly doesn’t deserve it.

Of course the best part of the episode was the final sequence where we have a coliseum battle to entertain the people of Mereen which turns into an assassination attempt on Daenerys. Thanks to Sir. Jorah Mormont as well as Drogon she is saved! What an amazing sequence at the end when she summons the dragon and fly’s away to safety.

This was another amazing episode and I am going to give Game of Thrones Season 5 Episode 9 a 9 out of 10.

  1. I could not watch that sequence with Stannis's daughter… I had to skip it. I've never seen anything that brutal in a tv show ever. I realize that it is fake, but I don't care. My humanity as a person could not bear it.

  2. I  am still in shock that they altered so much what happened in the books, especially in this season, but burning the little girl alive is making me question whether or not I want to continue even watching this – She was not even there in the book!

  3. I knew stannis would do it he was always stannis the kin killer to me ive hated his evil ass since he killed his little brother renly in season 2 and was willing to sacrifice his nephew and even used black magic to kill robb

  4. Stannis was never my favourite character but I respected him for his strength, I even "forgave" him for shadow killing his brother but I was not expecting him killing Shireen, it was one of the most disturbing scenes of the entire show to me and I am honestly sorry the producers went this route. I am never going to be able to care for Stannis anymore and it sucks because he is fighting the Bolton  🙁

  5. JOHN SNOW WILL USE DANNY AND  HER DRAGONS TO DESTROY THE WHITE WALKERS< THATS MY PREDICTION !!!!!!!!!! IF HE IS  A TYGARION THEY WILL MARRY!!!!!! WHEN I FIRST SAW THE IMAGE FOR GAME OF THRONES ON HBO >>>>>>>> WHY WAS ONLY JOHN SNOW AND DANNY THE ONLY 1 SHOWN  ( FIRE AND ICE GET IT)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. the 9th episode have steered the direction of the hall series. Its officially heading and written of different options than the book . I would love to see what the white walkers side is about and defiantly the final episode is gonna be breath taking

  7. To be honest, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT Stanis burning his daughter alive… How could I?
    1) He burned people alive the whole show, we don't care.
    2) Danny burned one of the masters (who was not guilty of anything), we don't care.
    3) Drogon, the Dragon who burned a little child, saves the day, we think its f…ing awesome.
We only care about Ms. Stoneface, because we feel kind of attached to her. Let 1M African childs starve, we do not care.. But let someone forget his dog in the car (which is indeed "not nice") and we riot and want to kill him.
Stanis did the right thing in his mind. However, he could still burned himself in order to save his guys, which would have been much more noble.

  8. The only good thing that came out of Stannis horrible decision was the fact that Sir Davos will be spared from this upcoming battle (more like slaughter fest).

Also I won't be surprised if Melissandra's dark magic ends up killing Brianne of Tarth instead of whom ever it was intended for.

  9. I think the sacrifice of Princess Shireen would have made more sense if the show had included the full prophecy of Azor Ahi. The Princess filling the role of the modern day Nissa-Nissa, the beloved sacrifice used to finally temper the true Light Bringer; the sword that ended The Long Night.

Without the prophecy the already horrible, disgusting act loses any semblance of context.

  10. There has never been a character that has fallen from grace with me as quickly as Stannis did, for me anyway. I went from rooting for him and him being one of my favorite characters, to being a worse person than Ramsey, and I didn't even think that was really possible.

Because of this, what I hope happens in the battle is Ramsey and Stannis kill each other and Sansa is able to go free.

  11. I was horrified with this week's episode. I clearly remember how Stannis reacted to Melisandre a couple of episodes ago when she suggested that Shireen be killed. After his reaction, I was caught off guard when he agreed to her being killed.
