  1. I was kinda meh on Arya's Bravos's overall but I did love the training sequence and then later her exchanges with Lady Crane… poor Rickon, they brought him back and then didn't give him any lines 😠

  2. The hanging scene in this episode is one of the many reasons I love GOT so much. We are given a taste of what a real hanging looks like. It is visceral and brutal, there's nothing honourable or romantic about death by hanging. It's also a recall back to s1e1 when Ned executes the Nightswatch deserter. He who passes the sentence must swing the sword. The Northerners have this tradition to keep their leaders from becoming too bloodthirsty, for killing is brutal and, frankly, depressing work.

  3. Yeah, Tommen is just an idiot. I mean, even if you're a kid, when someone abuse your mom and wife, your reaction is supposed to be "I'm going to kill you!". You don't supposed to be like, "Ok sir, I want to hear your side, to understand why you sexually degraded my mother pleeeease". If I was Tommen's relative, the kid would have been blood eagled.
You are the king. The longer the high sparrow lives, the more power he gains. Kill him and his followers and you're good. In case of citizen uprising, kill them all as well. There is nothing they can do against your well armored troops.
A week later, the remaining citizens will forget that this faith has ever existed, they'll be too busy with living. Especially if you'll aid them in terms of food, gold etc. Buy their trust back and paint the faith as the devil, who was torturing their beloved, beautiful queen, in the most horrible manners. That should do the trick.

  4. Unqualified Nerd…I dont know what episode you're on in real time but, when you get to 6×10 i hope you leave in as much of the davos / red woman confrontation as you can. it is an intense scene and the actor that plays davos truly shines in it.

  5. Tommen really is just the perfect candidate for someone like the high sparrow to manipulate. Young, innocent, lost.. and probably hugely depressed… the kid has lost his "father", sister, grandfather… all these horrible things keep happening to him… and cult personalities like the high septon prey on ppl like him.

  6. Definitely one of (if not the) strongest episodes of the season. Dark, gritty, and the political intrigue and drama is all there…. That last scene and the entire episode was on par with the older seasons. I just don't understand why they couldn't keep this pace for the entirety of the season and why they had to resort to sugar coating things along the way.

  7. That surprise at the end was soooooooo good! I don't think she'd processed that Jon was released from his oaths the moment he died "for the watch." I can't wait to watch the breakdown after this. Those are the best parts of these reactions.
