Actually, Bernadette follows Cersei's fashion, she admires and serves her. Just an FYI
Your videos never disappoint. They are really most extraordinary.
can you give us a video about Arya's costumes, please? 😀
Please do the costumes of Titanic!!! I love your channel so much! You are the best!
I absolutely love this series and the examples you give for possible inspirations behind the costumes, as well as similarities between characters and their growth. It's so interesting to see as someone who is a huge lover of costume design. It has definitely inspired me to pick designing my own concept arts for costumes back up again, thank you so much!
Cersei explains the hair herself, when she gets out of bed and says "I'm queen now I can do what I want". She doesn't have anyone to impress and isn't playing by anyone else's rules anymore. In other words, she just doesn't care.
Thank you for your fantastic videos! I just found your channel and have been binge-watching quite a few episodes. I grew up making costumes for theater. Your videos have inspire me to get back into costuming. I loved Daenerys first look as the red is starting to emerge. I am excited to see the progression of red and representation of her family as she further evolves in the series. 🐲🐉🐲
Thank you so much for your great videos! You inspired me to take a closer look on the costumes and I think, I've noticed something in the promo for episode 4. Dany is not wearing her red cape, but a blue one. Maybe that foreshadows that she has plans for the Dothraki.
I think they could have used Cersei's hair to demonstrate the passage of time! The fact that it hasn't changed is irking me!!
There is a typo in Cerseis name 😋
On the subject of Cercei's hair, I could not disagree more. The short hair makes her look bad ass and also speaks to how she is now taking up a traditionally male role, which she had always wanted for herself. I actually never liked the long blonde hair on Lena Heady. The actress, out of character, has such a edgy, rock n' roll look. The last thing she needs is to be made to look like a Barbie. I hope the pixie cut stays for the duration of the series.
When I saw her handmaiden with that hair I laughed out loud hahaha. Like, do you guys think they actually sat down and discussed that her hair had to change after Cersei blew up the Sept, or did she just figure that it was a good idea to do on her own LOL.
Btw really like this channel and I've never even really been that into fashion. So great job 😀 Subscribed
I think the whole problem with Cersei's hair is that Cersei tries to reduce her femininity, there are many occasions where cersei mentions her desire to be a man, as she despises being a "weak" woman without power. It is more clear in the books, and alt shit X made a video about cersei where he sums up that cersei is basically a misogynistic woman. The cut hair symbolizes her masculinity and her desire to be as powerful as the ruling men
Your channel is a gold mine for writers, like me, who "know nothing" about costuming. Your videos are richly detailed and both expertly and engagingly presented.
It's a bit sad that we didn't get a good look at Highgarden, which is supposed to be the most beautiful castle in Westeros, with a giant maze leading up to it, and Casterly Rock, which is supposed to be a mountain that is three times as tall as The Wall.
Such a good episode! You have a great eye for detail, and watching your videos makes the show even more fun. Dany's costumes were so cool this week.
The pattern on the bodice of Sansa's second dress is (what I assumed) mirroring the pattern of Jon's leather armour.
Cersei's new outfit is my favourite and it was nice to see her in the blue coloured robe for that short scene. I would love her to have an all red outfit, she would look amazing but as Michele Clapton is adding more and more red to Dany's costumes it's unlikely.
I know Sansa is preparing the north for winter and war but I just want her to have a least one beautiful dress.
Great vid as always.
I love your videos, the details you spot and the insights you have are so interesting ♡
I wish everyone wasn't dressed so dark. I mean, I love black as much as anyone, but everyone is wearing it now.
makingofgamethrones just posted an article about Euron Greyjoy's 'rockstar' look with some great closeup photos! http://www.makinggameofthrones.com/production-diary/get-insight-into-euron-greyjoys-rockstar-costume
The wigs have been a disappointment this season. I'm getting tired of the braid "crowns" that Dany has and now Sansa. I would like if Dany had more simple braids for the style of curls she has. All those braids look like ALOT of hair. I need to see her hair in a new style besides all those teired braids! I loved when he hair was looser like when she first conquered Mereen. I also dont like those two strands of hair in the front when most of Danys hair is pulled back, it bothers me. I'd rather have it all pulled back but i understand the need to frame her face. Sansa's wig looks dry and wispy. I honestly get confused if the women naturally have curly or straight hair. Everyone has the same waves for the most part which is really annoying.
All costumes were nice this episode. I didnt notice at all that Sansa had a different dress. I also had a thought that what if Clapton is waiting to dress Dany in more red for season 8? She will need a kind of armour for the war so i would imagine she would have a true black and red armour. Or maybe its all just a tease, what if Dany dies or she doesn't want the throne anymore? She was on her way to wearing those colors but never will. Good work with the videos 🙂
Great video! Woa, I hadn't even recognized the hand maiden!
I kept thinking Daenerys had red eyeshadow and red lip stain, as well.
Yes!!! It does look like Quaiths mask I love your videos!! Can't get enough of all the juicy morsels of information that you've meticulously researched. Your channel is top shelf quality!! Thank you and keep up the great work. I'll start clinking on the like button every time I drop on by.
You know, as soon as I saw Cersei's handmaiden with the cropped hair, I instantly thought of you! I do actually think the women of the court are following her style on purpose. They always did before. I didn't realize, before this video, though, that we'd seen that actress before, a few seasons ago. Once you showed the picture, I remembered!
Imma let you finish, but the real winner here is Euron's horse. DIdn't you see the ornate headpiece that the horse was wearing? It was the most stunning work I saw all episode – I just couldn't stop staring… it really WAS that good!
