▬▬ Video Description ▬▬
That ending was….amazing. Reminded me of the Desolation of Smaug. Epic. Spoils of War indeed. Arya comes home, Bran gives Littlefinger the chills and Jaime goes to sleep with the fishes.

  1. Notes about this video:

*It doesn't matter if Arya and Sansa didn't get along in Season 1. They both went through traumatic events in their lives over the course of 3-4 years and they both haven't seen each other in ages. You're saying if you and your sister/brother went through crap like that and saw each other again after a long time, you'd be continuing the drama between you two from years ago instead of coming together and being a family? Yeah No.

    * Arya never finished her training. Ever. She also never learned to fight with multiple styles of weapons. I can believe she is good with a staff and maybe a sword but dagger too and be close to on par with Brienne? That's a push.

  2. Why did people downvote this review? Dumb fanboys. It was totally on point. I'll add they absolutely destroyed davos. They have no idea how to write him so they just copied sellsword guy – jamie dynamic

  3. I enjoy your reviews because you definitely aren't a full-on fanboy, but about the whole "need a timer thing," I really enjoy the fact that D&D don't do that. Plus, a timer between episodes probably wouldn't help considering that even within each episode we don't know how much time passes between scenes.

  4. When I first watched Arya returning to Winterfell, I started crying because … ehm … I was/am kind of in an emotional state and I love Arya and her whole story is so dark and sad, I don't know. (There is a quote in the book from her POV that gets me everytime I read it. The one about Needle.)
But then … I rewatched it and I realised that I was the only one feeling all these emotions and the scenes kind of felt really cold and said nothing. A little melancholy as Arya looked around the castle buuut nothing else.

(Btw. as I said, I love Arya, she's one of my favorite characters. But I don't get her this season, her storyline and character are … weird. I don't know.)

  5. HARRRRUMPH, THAT OLD HAG DESERVED TO SUFFER!

    Imagine this if you will:
Jamie and Olenna are having their final talk and Jamie finally pours the poison into her cup. She drinks it, then commences confessing about how she was the one who poisoned and killed Jamies son. She does it just to be cruel and to strike out one last time at the Lanisters without fear of "difficult" reprisals.

We then see a dark shadow creep over Jamies face as he quickly steps forward grabbing and jerking her head back as he pours another vile down her struggling throat!

She coughs and sputters and demands "What was that"! Jamie has a bit of a maniacal look on his face and says "That? Oh that was the antedote to the poison I just gave you"! Lady Olenna's face becomes a pale mask, a study in abject fear. Jamie continues, "You see, my sister demanded it, in return for me wanting to spare you the lingering, pain filled death she had planned for you. She thought you just might plunge the dagger in and twist it about a bit, to please your old shrivelled dark soul. My sister, she has always been such a good judge of character, however lacking in character you may believe her to be. But again, as often she is, she was right".

Lady Olenna is next seen hanging from chains on public display on the wall at kings landing the top half of her body flayed of skin, writhing in the worst possible pain imaginable because of the skilled Maesters potions, her old voice only barely making any audible screams!

Jamie and Cersci standing side by side both look up at her, sadness in their eyes and hearts, but smirks none the less upon their mouths! Cersci says, "The Maesters have promised me they can keep her alive at least another day, yes, just one more day. A day that will feel like the entire lifetime she stole from our son".

    Scene cut.
Pull out slowly over head shot of Jamie and Cersci.
    Higher full view of castle.
    Fade to black

  6. I think the dynamic with Arya and Sansa's reunion scene was realistic. The sisters were forced to go to King's Landing together, witnessed the beheading of their father and went their separate ways and experienced all different levels and kinds of torture, mentally and physically.
Yes, they both want to get along and band together, be a family again after all these years but it's not like they blurted out all the gory stuff they went through, either. So they simply can't know straight away.
For them, it's weird. Their last memories of each other were probably negative ones because they never got along with one another. So it's going to be very awkward and strange for the pair when they do eventually reunite after years of being separated.
It's hardly a situation where they're both temporarily going to be all sunshine and rainbows. They did seem genuinely pleased to see each other and even shared a little laugh together. I think it's realistic enough considering everything that has happened to their family.

  7. 1. The actresses who play Arya, Sansa and Danny are 3 of the weakest actors on GoT. In a scene with only Arya and Sansa, awkwardness and visible lack of talent is expected. 2. Why is Tyrion at the battle? So if your brother who leads one of the strongest armies in the world is about to become KFC you WOULDN T want to be there to see what happens? 3. Stop giving spoilers from the book. Please mention ONLY what we have seen on screen. The books and the TV show are two entirely different things. Stop comparing. Do we really need to go through this conversation every single time.

  8. Not the best episode of the season, as a matter fact for me it's near the bottom. Apart from the obvious awkward scenes that you pointed out on this review, the dragon fighting scene had some weird moments as well. It seems to me that it was too convenient for the dragon to "crash land" right next Jaime, and for him to be saved… somehow, right at the last minute by falling into this lake that came out of nowhere. Also, … how was khaleesi riding the dragon with a dress on? Why would she come in by riding the dragon right into the front lines of the enemy instead of a surprise attack from above? Some of the Lanaster soldiers were frightened, but then others decided to stick around and use their shields to stop dragon fire? really?…. the writers should have shown the entire army running for the lives given that none of them had ever seen a dragon before…. and as you pointed out…. where are the other two dragons???? why lose men when she had 3 dragons? this fight could have been over quick had she used the 3 dragons along and leave her army to clean up after the whole place was burnt to crisp! Too many inconsistencies and illogical strategic flaws to be considered a great episode.

  9. i think it was restraint that stopped Danerys from rushing in with three dragons, it actually lends itself to something along the lines of the advice jon gave her. It can come across as pretty tyrannical using all three dragons in battle, using one is much more reasonable than bringing in all three.

  10. I wonder how GRRM will deal with the struggle of compressing five books worth of main characters into one continent. IMO Robin Hobb did it pretty well earlier this year with Assassin's Fate, the conclusion to a 16-book series which sported hundreds of characters, much like ASOIAF. We'll just have to see where it goes. Personally, I think the show is doing at least a respectful job of it, but it's just so immensely troublesome fitting all the interactions they want to show into two seasons. Just as I believe George will have trouble with doing it in just two books. Hobb managed to have her final novel be from a FPP, meaning she didn't have to show all interactions, just the ones that mattered the most for that particular character. In ASOIAF, George will either have to laboriously write meetings for dozens of characters, kill a few off, or just cut some content.

  11. I don't think she can control all three dragons in a battle without riding them I think is very hard all gargantuan dragons had riders I don't think there was ever just dragons obeying targeryans in battle without being actually rode

  12. Where is all this love for Jaime come from????? He was a dick the whole time, he kill the mad king that he suppose to protect, and kill the kid that was in the jail with him , just for nothing, the other one to scape a really really a bad guy, Trow Brand of the tower, (just a lil kid), try to killl him again and again, have sex with his sister., rape her to. I think Dany should had kill him , he kill her father. Also she attacking soldiers that have just rank sack and poison the Tyrells, taking all the gold and the food, and thinking of flogged the people to make the gold get faster to Cersei

  13. Not sure why people are turning on you, Carmine. Keep doing what you're doing. I'm a book reader, but I see the show as something separate. Given that there is a good chance I'll never even see book VI, I'm content to enjoy the show for what it is. Everyone on here who thinks this is the greatest show ever is clearly cannot make the distinction between spectacle and genuinely good writing and exposition.

  14. Not much of a cliffhanger. I could see if the last shot was Drogon's throat lighting up, but it's Jaime and we saw him pushed out of the way. The automatic assumption is he'll be fine. Also, Lord Tarley said the gold made it to King's Landing. Dany burned their food.

About Bran. Consider the concept of multiple lives. If you were Lincoln in a past life, that fact would not make you cease to be you now. You're current memories are dictating who you are now. Bran is living those memories and they are informing who he is now. It's not just detached memories. Which makes him no one and everyone. Bran is a drop in an ocean. The 3-Eyed Raven is the ocean.
